IMO the inconsistent decision making by refs in this league makes me more want to go to an NBA style when it comes to fouls. You make 4 fouls, no matter how pathetic they were, it's an automatic yellow card. The game v Man Utd away they made 28 fouls against us and until the 89th minute had 2 bookings. Fernandes and McTominay made 5 fouls each with no bookings.

So would I but it doesn't tell the whole story. We are still pretty low down on the table of expected goals conceded, only 5 teams have better defences based on that stat but we do have a couple of games in hand. Brighton had 26 shots against us and they should have won but their shot selection was very poor. I'm more concerned with the quality of chances we give our opponent than the amount, Liverpool don't let the other team have many shots but when they do it's usually a big chance of a goal. The trend is heading in the wrong direct though as we were much better earlier in the season and have rode our luck more. The CM area needs a shake up for me with Barkely and McGinn taken out of it, without Jack we will have to play a more explosive/counter attack style.

We were awful defensively last season as a unit and I thought he was decent overall. In a much better team and more organised defence I will take him over Elmo all day long. More energy, gets up and down the pitch, I really don't understand why he's not first choice back up. I even said a few months ago when we were struggling with a RW option why we don't use him and Cash together down that side, similar to what Leicester did today.

Decision making has been horrendous. Usually at least good when we don't have the ball for his work rate but not even offering us that. Build the CM area around Luiz if he's staying in the summer. Luiz, Sanson and a good creative AM is what we need.

Yeh but the rest are showing how shit they are so advantage Sanson at this point.

Which is why he needs to be replaced. Even at the top of his game it's still not enough, good at tracking back but can't beat a man or shoot or do anything productive in the attacking third.

Our full backs don't get forward on an overlap enough and they are still able to double up on our wingers.

Yeh very much this. He still creates almost everything, when he's been doubled up on we are poor and the others don't step up. He makes them look better. No Grealish, No Cash. Traore and Barkley need to be on it for us to have any chance. El Ghazi and Trez are poor and barely cut out for this level even if they are playing at the top of their game.

People try to start this stuff every week, you can tell when it has some value because more credible people start reporting it even if they aren't journalists or tied to the club. People on here think Twitter is full of attention seekers for some reason.

Leicester at 6/5 are going to be printing if Jack is out, I think its good value anyway as we have looked poor and a bit off it recently. Too many things point to him being out for me so I think he will be, hope I am wrong though.

Why would you do that, he's usually right. Not everyone on Twitter is just doing things for attention.

Would be strange for Villa to promote a Grealish interview just 4 hours earlier as well.
