Have to say I'm fairly sceptical of some of the overly complementary analysis on this page. I think people being complemented in this way will probably mean they challenge the wisdom of the analysis less Reminds me of a simple psychology test I participated in where a group of people were given written personality profiles based on their handwriting. Almost three quaters said the results were very accurate. All the profiles were identical. (infj for the record)

According to Elias Sports Bureau there have been approx 195,000 MLB games meaning there have been approx 390000 pitchers that have started these games (one for each side) The percentage of these achieving a perfect game is 0.00462% (figure from here but they forget to multiply by 100 )

Bollocks missed it! Well done Mark - He's been such a consistent performer for the White Sox for years. Really happy for Wise too. Whatever happens, he'll always be remembered for that catch Surely throwing the perfect game has to be the greatest achievement in sport (considering the thousands of games that are played each season and the fact that there have only been 18 )

The White Sox on a good tear now. 7 wins in a row and 11 out of 13 to close the gap to 2.5 on Detroit (it's been around the 6 mark for most of the season)

I think Vlad would make a decent cricketer but chipper is a good shout

I reckon we (White Sox) will win the Central but a lot depends on either Contreras or Colon avoiding a disastrous season. We have a really good hitting line up and could see Quentin, Fields, Thome, Konerko, Dye and Ramirez all hit over 20 homers provided they stay healthy. Our bullpen looks strong as well. We have no speed on the team whatsoever, so am preparing myself for lots of frustrating defeats with countless men left on base.
