    I suspect we will see SJM up there in one of those 10 spots should we strengthen the midfield further. But yes those two should be playing together more with a strengthened midfield.

    So much hysteria. Suarez has operated at a level far and above any of the strikers we currently have. He is old and no longer at this peak however I can see the logic in bringing him in. I believe systematically he will offer more than Watkins and Ings with regard to understanding his role and bringing best out of the creative players around him. Questions regarding age and $$$ outlay are valid. However, I don't think we have enough cause for concern on this point as of yet and the owners/etc deserve some trust in taking the club forward.

    There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that we are suddenly going to start utilising a double pivot. It will be the same system with (hopefully) better understanding of roles and responsibilities based on more time in the system and personnel upgrades. Which I suspect leads to more sustained possession (less lumping it up to watkins) and more time on the ball/touches for the no.10s as they are the priority.

    Phillips is class and I would be chuffed if we got him. The midfield would be transformed from our weakness to a strength.

    They have overpaid for players that weren't even quality at their respective clubs (Delph/Iwobi). Different story.

    Kamara is 22. We are also rumoured to be snapping up a couple of Scottish youngsters. The approach has not completely changed. We are adding already developed quality to balance it out and set the standards higher.

    The plan is not to be **** around fighting Brighton for places and points. I feel we are in for an exciting summer of scorched earth squad upgrades. Suarez + striker Kamara + Phillips (if not Bissouma) 2 CBs - Tark possibly being one of them

    It just occurred to me that by all accounts we bid for both JWP and Bissouma in Jan and held to our evaluation which was rejected leading to getting Kamara on a free Similarly, we went after ESR earlier - bid rejected - ended up with Coutinho in on loan in Jan and then signing for 17m Both require a bit of luck however it speaks to how well things are being run at the moment
