That is mostly down to poor recruitment. We have hired some absolute garbage! How many have gone on to bigger jobs? How many are still managing? Apart from the journey man Steve Bruce and Dean Smith. Honest question, lets hypothetically say we are bottom at Xmas , do we continue with Gerrard on the basis he might turn it around? Can you really see Gerrard turn this around? Based on the performances as of late, i dont. I see us in the bottom 3 in a few weeks, after 2 absolute smashing at the hands of Arsenal and City. He is tactically weak , he has said as much (Beale was the guru!) Defense is so disorganized.

I think he is here until after the Man City game anyway. We will then be in the bottom 3 (let be honest cant see us picking up any points in our next 3 games) West Ham to get their season started next Sunday! Then Arsenal and Man City. We then have Leicester (A), Southampton(H) Leeds(A) and Forest(A) - 4 fixtures that we should be winning but with Gerrard at the wheel i can see 3 losses and a draw!

Let's be honest, the board wanted Henry at one point, I think big names are off the table. It's probably going to be another 'up and coming manager' Poch will be waiting for a bigger job! We ain't as big as we once was!

We have players that can play the system he wants but is to stubborn to pick them, would mean he would need to drop McGinn.... Luiz should be starting alongside Boubs. Chambers alongside Mings is also the better combo. I am hoping the Sarr signing is a signal that we may see a change in tactics.

This signing makes no sense at all. Unless we are going to be changing our tactics and playing a different way. I think the money would have been better spent on a quality CM!

Problem is Gerrard is the manager and we look crap. He needs to change the midfield but won't because he is a stubborn ass, keeps ploddong on with McGinn and JJ, its not working, even a blind man could see that! He picks Konsa over Chambers! Which is madness, Chambers is much better! The team may have quality but if we continue with Gerrard then we will be in or around the bottom 3 come the world Cup break.

14th?! That's generous! Looking at the teams below us and our next few fixtures think we will be bottom 3 in a few weeks! West Ham will probably pick up their 1st points (can see Brighton beat them) Arsenal and City will pummel us (just make sure to make Jesus and Haaland captains those weeks in FPL) With the right tactics we could be an excellent counter attack team, but Gerrard is hell bent on possession football with the 2 worst Midfielders for possession over 90 mins in Europe! Sadly I think we are looking at a long hard season!

Gerrard is not going to play with wingers! He will continue to play JJ and McGinn in midfield and watch us get split open week after week.... His mate will be back in the fold next week as he stated with Emi and lost, so a ready made scapegoat there!!
