  1. Hmmm, more worrying stuff from Apple here
  2. What score Saturdays team have won this match?
  3. Football is turning into a girls game, you can't touch anyone
  4. Man we have some big and talented squad don't we? How many players would you be ok with starting a prem game?
  5. Cheers dirk, might just go with JG5 then. Also is anyone using tasker? It puts locale to utter shame. It's free beta download from their site here
  6. Dirk is your Android god. I am but a novice to this land.
  7. What time does this kick off at?
  8. So I take it your hysteria riddled posts about how terrible it was that Randy didn't understand the English game because he was a foreign owner weren't painting him as the "villain" then? I acted on emotion more than any evidence then, plus in a defensive node about o'neill. But after reflecting on the whole situation I can see it was just a break down of their relationship and the new priorities of the club that lead to the departure. I was wrong in my comments about lerner. I wish others would act the same about o'neill. He did a god job and together they have brought respect back to our club. Both deserve credit for that.
  9. Been watching Entourage, it's hilarious show. Great craic.
  10. I'd agree with that Brian, you couldn't get a new manager and deny him funds. I do disagree about o'neill though, he was certainly irritated by the milner sale and being denied the money was the last straw. The deterioration of his relationship with Lerner certainly was a factor. He felt he was no longer being backed, sensed Lerner didn't have total faith in him. When that happens it is time to go. Pity people need to find a villain in the whole thing, when really there isn't one.
  11. Well yes, I think it will further point that o'neill was being denied the funds. Krulak said Kev Mac, Paul and Randy would decide transfers. But I'm quite sure these comments are to placate fans. I'm sure we'll sign nobody and that was going to be the case under o'neill.
  12. What's to say we can't get him next year some time. We are ok with Kev Mac getting the job on an intern basis. Jol will be available next year for sure.
  13. He won't feature in the Premier League this season. If he's back around April he won't be up to speed to risk him in the Prem at that stage of the season.
  14. I'd say we can get Jol at some point so we keep Kev Mac until we can. This is a transitional year anyway, we just need to keep what's left of our key players here and clear some room and money for new signings when Jol takes over.
  15. Well if we are to get a manager it need to be before the Newcastle game. If it is to be Kev Mac, which it looks like being then he should be allowed to spend that money. My monies on Kev Mac getting the job an not a sole being signed, with very few even linked to the club. Personally I think it's best not to spend any of it and for it to be kept until next Summer when hopefully it can be given to Martin Jol. Kev Mac to steady the ship while Lerner gets the house in order and funds and wage space for a the new manager.
  16. I bet we don't spend a penny of the Milner money and that will be telling.
  17. There is no doubt in my mind the fact we have sold one of our best players for a second summer in a row was a factor in Martin O'Neill leaving. He must've been thinking what's the point identifying quality players and getting them to come to Villa only for the club, for financial reasons, to go and sell them? I think at the beginning of the Summer at the meeting with Lerner they decided to try sell the 6 fringe players and hold onto Milner. Then go buy a striker and a new right back with the money generated and then give it a go again. Lerner's statements about not wanting to sell Milner and O'Neill's about not downing tools sound like that. Then when we couldn't ship those 6 players on for varing reasons and O'Neill reluctantly accepted the sale of Milner but he was going to be denied the money for strengthening the squad because it would increase the wage bill. O'Neill then wanted to keep Milner. But the money was too good not to sell. It all just seems like too much to me, a horror summer basically for O'Neill. If we just told James Milner you are under contract and we are not selling you this summer. What would he do? He'd get his head down and be the professional that he is and still give 100% for Villa.
  18. Club penguin, bah! Extreme pingu is the best flash game ever. I spent a good 100 hours of college time playing that back in 2003
  19. I'm interested in how it works. So can you see embedded flash videos on websites? You'd save quite a bit of money I'd say playing the flash games online rather than buying them from the store
  20. Who gives a ****, it's not play school he was not here to make everyone happy. He was here to win football matches, which he did better than anyone in the coast decade and a half.
  21. Can't the man just go to milan? It's not like our CEO went over. Though a certain legendary defender recently retired from football.
  22. Rijkaard would be an outstanding capture if we could get him. But he's a little out of our league really.
