    If he is willing to stay as a back up right back there is no reason to move him on. Not really sure why a player would want to do that though.

    I don't think Harry would have gone up there either. He lives on the South Coast at Bournemouth and drives up to QPR (and previously Spurs and obviously Portsmouth and Southampton). I don't think he would uproot to work in the North West, he doesn't have the hunger for it.

    Yes, I can see Everton having similar problems to us afer MON left. The current players there are all Moyes and a new manager will not have much money to rebuild a team in their image. They could be in for a few rough years of transition.

    If we stay up the season won't be a total disaster but there is no measure where it could be considered a success. Avoiding relegation and being knocked out of both cups by lower league opposition does not qualify as success for Aston Villa FC.

    I think Moyes is not such a bad pick actually. If you can say one thing about Moyes it's that he is consistant. He grinds out results and finishes top 6 every season, with much better players you would expect he would consistanlty finish top 4 and challange for the title. I think that will be enough to keep the fans with him until he has grown fully into the role. Still, it could all go pear shaped which would be great to watch

    It has been an awful season one of the worst in my time as a Villa fan. There are reasons to be optimistic however. If we can massively improve the defense we will be going places with this side.

    I would want Laudrup if I was an Everton fan.

    If you compare the feeling towards him with that of Bobby Robson you can see what an impact his attitude has had. Robson was also a fantastic manager but he was well like by rival fans. Ferguson has been a bully and a hypocrite at times so whilst people will respect and admire his success they will often qualify it with a comment about the less savoury aspects of his character.

    Not that one, HairyHands is the person I was talking about. Ah yes! HairyHands did seem like a genuine ITK. Though, he didn't really post on transfer targets IIRC... was mainly on Lambert's position with the board. Though, all ITK is good ITK I guess. That HairyHands guy was the best ITK ever! "Lambert will not be making any signings in January unless he changes his mind and does".

    A left back, a centre back and and an atticking mid are our most important priorities, in that order. Also a replacement for Bent, and an option for playing with width would be very useful.

    I would think the lack of contract signing would be down to him waiting to see what league we would be in rather than Learner not offering. I suspect negotiations will be able to reopen and he will sign one once we are confirmed as staying up.

    If by competitive you mean consistently shit, yes. The likes of Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland would walkover their relative opposition in the other big 4 leagues IMO Well you have no real way of testing that so it is a pretty meaningless statement.

    Why would you want Swansea to go down?? They are one of the better sides in the league to watch. A proper success story and blueprint for how sides should play when they come up.
