Wigan were relegated last week when they lost at home to a Swansea with nothing to play for.

I can't really say I'm happy. More just relieved this crap is finally over.

They will probably get a big wedge for Fellini and there is the new TV money to consider as well. They get a big wedge for someone most seasons, it doesn't stop them being skint. Every one gets the TV money so its no real advantage until the end of the season when the prize money is allocated Why are Everton so broke? They get decent crowds, TV money and transfer fees. I know they had financial troubles in the 1990s, are they carrying legacy debts from that or what? They are running on just the money they generate in turnover but in this league you need to have a sugar daddy propping up the losses (like we do) unless you have a very good manager (like they did).

Why would you expect them not to be? Their last day of the season show is going to be a total damp squib unless Wigan win tonight.

Interesting. I'm moving in to my own place in July, and am keeping an eye out for what sort of thing I want to get for TV/Internet/phone. That sounds decent. There's nothing I'd really miss if I only had freeview + Sky Sports (and wouldnt really miss that if I streamed matches I wanted to see), the only other things I'd want to watch I could 'obtain'. How's the service, in particular, the broadband? Well it works and is unlimited but I couldn't give you a full speed comparison with other providers. Probably depends on your area anyway. The recording box is handy, it has freeview HD and all the catch up players (iPlayer, 4OD etc) as well.

Also, you might want to wait until BT launch their package and see how it compares.

I went the cheapo route and got talktalk youview. It's £15 per month for unlimited broadband and phone as well at the tv recording box. Then you can add sky sports on a month by month basis for £30p/m. I have had it on for a couple of months this year when Villa have been on a lot and am switching it off again for the next few months over the summer.
