  1. What the **** is wrong with the New York Post. Absolute scumbags! These guys were never suspects, they are just two guys watching the race who happen to have dark skin. The post editors don't give a ****...
  2. Yeah, they did start a story line with Saul trying to convince him to open a nail salon but then they never followed up on it. My explanation would be that Jessie just uses cash all the time and doesn't make any big purchases which would attract suspicion whilst Walt is trying to set up an empire and has to look a bit legit.
  3. There is a whole ream of them here http://imgur.com/a/sUrnA Mostly seem like BS but who knows, one backpack might be the right guy.
  4. Probably people panicking and being on high alert at the moment.
  5. Sounds like they may have spotted a suspect on video but haven't actually tracked him down yet but a news agency jumped the gun and announced an arrest.
  6. No, the joke has past you by, it is an implication that Tottenham Hotspur, the football team Gareth Bale (The said 'Bale' in the one-liner) plays for are what is known as a 'one man team' due to their results taking a negative direction since Bale has picked up an injury. Gareth Bale is Welsh, so the idea there will be three Welsh teams in the Premier League is a rib on this. Well I think it is unlikely Bale will be in the premier league next season so the joke is on you.
  7. Well a number of letters containing ricin (Breaking Bad reference anyone?) have been sent to US government officials including Obama so someone is looking to hit the government at the moment.
  8. Ok sure, I can understand what you are saying there. There doesn't have to be a 'real story' and a fake one though. Quite often the story might be mostly true with some details withheld etc.
  9. But who is controlling and directing these editors all over the world? I agree that an individual writer will not have total freedom, they have to fit with the publication they are writing for, but there are enough different media outlets from many different countries that you will get a fairly broad and balanced view if you look over them without having to resort to unsubstantiated conspiracy websites.
  10. I have a couple of school friends in Australia who have gone into journalism. At what point during their careers would you think they get told what to write about by the American government? Giant conspiracies could not be contained globally, not even within the US in my opinion. For journalists to be considered a credible source of information they have to verify their reports and cite evidence. Twitter reporters don't have to do anything like that. Just look at the reports on twitter yesterday about Boston. There were all sorts of stories coming up from so called witnesses or experts about the number of bombs, the number of dead, whether a person was in custody or not etc. I have even seen it twitter that there were government spotters on the roof tops and police conducting a terrorist training drill the morning of the race. You can go down all sorts of tangents reading and taking at face value unsubstantiated claims on the internet and they don’t balance against verifiable news stories from actual journalists even if a number of people have retweeted the same thing a number of times.
  11. Not a jihadi then. Terrible but at least he's alive and the damage is low so he'll walk again, truly incredible what they can do with prosthetics now after having 10 years of R & D and 1000's of squaddies coming back with similar injuries to practice on. He wasn't walking before, either... looks like a wheelchair racer (unless they just used racing wheelchair to move him). I don't think the explosions hit many racers, it was the people in the stands who were hit.
  12. I wouldn't trust the New York Post to bring you news.
  13. The scale thing is absolutely true. We are also more sympathetic to incidents in similar cultures/English speaking countries too. I mean there were bombs in Baghdad today which killed 30+ people and not much was said. It's just the way we are as human beings I guess. Yeah that's the crazy thing. Bombs went of in Baghdad today and humans were killed but we don't really care. I think humans will never be at peace with each other until we all have actual empathy for each other.
  14. Wasn't Bowery's record worse than that in League 1 last season?
  15. I think there would be opportunities for a smaller team to promote a woman driver. It would guarantee them much greater exposure than they would be getting with an average male driver.

I'm pretty sure we won't get anything from Old Trafford. I am also now worried that a fired up Sunderland will come to Villa park and do to us what they did to Newcastle. If we lose two in a row we will be under massive pressure.

Would not surprise me if Wigan turn City over. City players have their eye on the FA Cup and nothing else.

Stoke have a great run of fixtures coming up. They won't lose them all.
  19. Stoke have a great set of fixtures to finish and Sunderland will be fired up for every match. This is going to go to the wire.
  20. They will be fired up for every match for the rest of the season.

I think we would all take 17th. I remember saying at the start of the season I'd snap your hand off for 15th. Even that looks like it was optimistic.
  22. A lack of class from the Man U fans there.
