  1. Possibly, but since footballers are **** soft they keep going to ground instead of battling on. That's why you stay up as long as you can.Cost us.
  2. Oh, I thought the ball was going in, but it looks like it was going outside.
  3. It's not what I personally think, but the general sentiment probably. He's too far gone for too many.
  4. It is about that unfortunately, with a 10% discount for pre-ordering. But do check it out. I'll dump some initial impressions in here oce I got it installed and get some playtime on Thursday or Friday.
  5. Well, I agree to an extent, but I think there's a fair bit of observer bias. We are in a different emotional state when watching Villa games. Certains things stand out more, and we generally pay more attention because we are anxious etc.
  6. Should probably have included some footage as well, but it looks relly, really nice:

This is just it. I have coached youth, and you care as **** even at that level. Not so much about results obviously, but giving everyone a good hockey education, a fair shake and platmying time and most importantly having fun. And it's gutting hearing that someone isn't happy or feels left out or is bored etc. I can only imagine what the pros feel. I know that every single person including SG is working their asses off right this minute trying to fix things. I can also guarantee they all take it very seriously. Thanks for the tip! Will check it out.
  8. Agree on all accounts, and I am not defending the results or performance. But we have an idea, a system and away of playing and it's just not working right now. Question is, can the current regime fix it? That is what everyone is really debating, but the truth is no-one really knows. It's all speculation, and people conjure up stuff based on their fears that we will be relegated or have a mediocre season. Team sports is a funny thing. Suddenly you hit form, or crack that weird thing were your mids suddenly start covering for your wing backs, or you add a pivot player and things just work out. We'll see how it goes. It can be 'sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit!'.

Indeed. I very much enjoyed the City one as well. Also check out Inside Borussia Dortmund if you haven't. Also, I actually like Arteta as he comes across in the docu-drama. It's obviously both scripted at times and very, very curated, but he comes across as direct, to the point yet intelligent with a good sense of how to handle people. Very astute tactically as well.
  10. Very interesting shift in passing from United yesterday. Focusing on TAA on Uniteds left side, and much longer balls to break Liverpools press a bit. Definite shift from earlier games. Also, Liverpool seemed to suffer a bit from the same we do at times; no-one covering for the full backs getting forward.
  11. Most clubs do. Even Klopp and Pep depend to a large extent on assistants and coaches for tactical plans and input. Same goes for the clubs analytics department. That said, I'm not arguing SG is even close to them, but I still think the 'he relies on his coaches' is somewhat overblown as a critique.
  12. Embrace the suck my friend. Embrace the suck. We'll be stuck down here in the shit as long as we keep appointung **** losers that keep phoning it in. The fanbase is even less ambitious than our club!
  13. Anyone else really looking forward this? There are some annoying things already come to light, among other things no custom team because of licensing and no changing teams one you start a game, but it still looks really good for us F1 fans. Out in Early Access on the 25th and about a week later for non-preorders.
  14. How would it work if Salah had rushed the ball up and Liverpool just slowly got there instead of fighting for the ball?
  15. I get what you are saying, but I think that is much too harsh and does imply that many of the bad calls are made intentionally. I think the game is just too fast and they have a restricted viewpoint most of the time. Some refs understand the game better, can read it and have a better cognitive ability. What I would like to see is what they have in ice hockey. A disciplinary committee that studies situations post-game and can rescind or hand out penalties. I think that would benefit the game overall, and could also lead to more internal review and discussion of decision to increase understanding of why things got called the way they were. Just as in hockey, I would love to have retroactive punishment for diving as well, with repeat offences punished harder.
  16. I think we'll be a dominant force in the Championship.
  17. I called it before the game. Had a feeling they'd win. Just goes to show you the dynamics of team games. I know absolutely no-one on here believes it, but we could see the same here. Form is temporary.
  18. It's like school kids that has just learnt to calculate percentages.
