I think we had some claim to the title under MON, when we at least looked to challenge a bit, but we fell off. If we want to pick it up we need a serious rebuild, but that horse has left I am afraid. It will take Newcastle level riches and some seriously shady shit to get round FFP. They might pull something off, but we'll struggle. On top of that we seem to **** up just about every decision we take right now.

I think this is pretty much spot on. The game has indeed gone. The big boys are settled, they have their roles, and to teams like Villa are just extras. Faceless enemies that occasionally acts as bumps in the road as All or Nothing docu-dramas tries to compete with the other big boys but somehow loses the odd game to us. We have been left behind, and the anger among us in the fanbase is just the pain of this dawning on us. Newcastle MIGHT so something if they find ways to use their unlimited money cheat code without FFP issues. We're no longer a giant, sleeping or not. We're dead.

Good point, but to be fair, nice guys finish last. A crook could probably get us a CL title by being shady as **** and bending and even breaking the rules. So that might actually be in their favour.

Yes. The risk of myocarditis is increased by training hard when having a fever or sore throat. So one needs to be careful even if the risk is relatively low.

Covid scare. You don't really go mingle with the squad if you have symptoms. That'd be utterly stupid. If it develops i to a proper cold, you rest or risk heart issues by training and playing. Basic, really, and something that should be monitored.

I don't want him anywhere near Villa. In fact, I even want him to stay away when we play you, that is how little I want him. My fellow Villa fans are absolutely and completely blinded by our current woes and poor managerial efforts by Gerrard that they know not what they say. I don't think we should get a poor manager just to get rid of Gerrard. That is not a very sustainable way to run a club. That we seem to pine for Rodgers just goes to show how far we've fallen as fanbase.

Unless the club has some insights we lack, I struggle to see him survive a loss or even a draw against Leicester. I think the fallout from that would be more than the club is willing to bear, unless they REALLY are onboard with what he's trying to do, and the players really support him.
