    Lou Reed

I'm a big Lou Reed and Velvets fan. Really sad news. Thanks for the music, Lou.
  2. Video quality not great, but this really shows what a tight unit Aston's second finest were in their day.
  3. Few bottles of Banks's Sunbeam last night, Nice drop, very easy to drink, a proper session beer.

    General Chat

Wasn't sure where to post this, and so thought here was as good a place as any, and I feel it had to be done in Off Topic, as everyone knows Off Topic is the real heart of VT. I realised that I was on the verge of my 2000th post (this being it), and although in comparison to some, it's a minuscule land mark, I feel I needed it to be something more than just a regular post about any old nonsense. It's been a Boycott style effort for me, and I've not wracked up the posts half as quickly as most, but getting to this point has been enjoyable (although I've had a few run ins with some interesting characters). Here's to the next 2000!
  5. Ah Stocko, now we're talking! My old stomping ground. First (underage) pint brought in The Stockland (now an all you can eat Chinese buffet), while on my lunch break from school. A change from school to my old man's tie, and a pint of Brew XI in the bag, with no questions asked. Happy times.
  6. Was talking to my Evertonian mate, and he thinks this has got a draw written all over it, and I think I agree. I'd fancy Lukaku and Mirallas against our back 4, but I also fancy Benteke against there's. Plus Gabby has got a tremendous record against Everton. Think we might be in for another Villa / Everton classic. Hopefully with an Ashley Young style ending!
  7. Really good documentary, called The Great Hip Hop Hoax, just started on BBC4. About two Scottish guys who pretended to be from LA and fooled the London music industry. Made by the same people who made Sound It Out, that you may have seen before. Really interesting and amusing story.
  8. My take on it, is it will take an absolutely ridiculous bid, well beyond market value for us to even consider the idea of selling him in January. This figure would have to be £40m+, I'd say. If you look at the price strikers go for in January (Torres, Carroll, Bent spring to mind), the buying club always ends up having to pay over the odds. £28m, you can jog on!
  9. Looking forward to the return of Boardwalk Empire, next Saturday.
  10. This makes me both home sick and glad to have moved away. Weird!
  11. 4 pack of Blue Moon in the fridge. Get them down me, then out for a few, late doors in the local. Friday nights are pretty sweet.
  12. Yeah I used to feel like that. When my family first moved up here, I hung on for another 6 months, cus I didn't want to give up my season ticket, and thought no where could possibly match the wonders of 6 ways. I was wrong.
  13. Flipping heck Hartlepool to Erdington! You do pick some wonderful places to live! I actually did this move the other way around. Moved from Erdington to Darlington about 16 years ago. I love to go back and see my family and friends (oh and the Villa), but I don't think I'd ever move back!
  14. In real life, just a boring old Ford Focus. Never been into cars though, so I'm not arsed about having a flash car in the slightest.
  15. Ah Monkey Hanger land! Going off topic (apologies mods), but are you aware there's a North East supporter's club? If you're interested, I'll PM you the chairman's contact details. Excellent. That'd be brilliant. I'm moving to Erdington in the Brum come Christmas though! Hahaha! PM sent. CED - I can PM you too, if you're feeling left out?
