  1. I think Spanky Wilson's version of Sun Shine Of Your Love is probably a massive contender to be my favourite cover version of all time.
  2. This got recommended to me today. First listen, and I'm liking it a lot. Reminds me a little of the Velvet Underground, with an Australian accent. Will investigate further!
  3. Lowton was left out, travelled with the squad but didn't make the 18. Erm yeah, so we were without him. Whether he was dropped, or injured, he can still be classed as a first team regular, and we managed to get the win without him. Bacuna was an excellent replacement too, which bodes well. Seems a strange argument to try and gain extra credit for a win by saying 'we were without X, Y and Z' when being without X was actually our own choice. The point I was making was how much better the squad is, rather than trying to gain any extra credit for the win. Chill Winston. Well that wasn't the way your original point came across at all. But thanks for the sarcastic comments in addition, Dave80. Well the bit after the part of my post that you quoted, should have indicated the point I was making.: Listen mate, we're both Villa, and I apologies, if I came across as sarcastic, but you took part of what I said out of context, so I defended that. The 'Chill Winston' bit was meant to lighten the mood. I say we forget it, and enjoy a rare clean sheet, and a victory for our boys!

  6. Not a vintage performance, but I'll take scrappy 1-0 wins away from home all day long. Worth remembering also, we had no Okore, Lowton, Westwood, and played the majority of the match with out Benteke. Showing depth in the squad, which is encouraging. MOTM had to be Guzan, with a nod to Bacuna and Clark.
  7. Acoustic Krartwerk? How's that gonna work?! I'm intrigued.
  8. Too many gigs coming up I want to go to! The Fall, Wooden Shjips, Lee Scratch Perry, The Mighty Diamonds, and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas all playing in Leeds, before the end of the year. Billy Bragg & Television coming up at The Sage, in Gateshead. I'd like to go to all, but know I'm going to have to whittle the list down.
  9. There are two things I always say when ever this match gets brought up. First that the way they booed and sang while Martin Laursen was saying his good byes was an utter disgrace. Second that football fans all over the country were laughing at them, not just us, and they would have got the same reaction at any other ground in the league.
  10. With a similar impact to Benteke, when he came on against Swansea for his debut, I hope!
  11. Outside of the local derbies, this is the one I want to win more than any other. Living in the North East, among 'The Geordie Nation', I have to put up with their over inflated, self righteous, delusional attitude on a daily basis. I hate them with a passion. I have many friends who support them even, and when it comes to football, I refuse to enter into conversation with the majority of them. Newcastle is a wonderful city ruined by it's football club.
  12. Fully agree. I saw some of their Glastonbury set on TV, and thought, what a load of boring old kack.
  13. Yeah thinking about it, I agree with this. That was for Stan to say his farewells to Celtic, and for them to pay their tribute, and a very good job they did too. We got our chance to say good bye and thanks, at the end of last season. I think Stan will just want to get on with his life now, and enjoy spending time with his family.
  14. Slightly off topic, but on a lot of the Weezer videos it says "You and ME like this", which made me think of this, from my childhood.
  15. Oh yeah, this is still a massive favourite of mine too.
