I am mate, where about are you based up here?

I'm very lucky to live in a town that has more than it's share of fine real ale boozers, the pick of which was recently voted the best real ale pub in the North East: http://www.quakerhouse.co.uk/ I get to try a wide variety of different fine ales, from all over the country, every week. The North East is also blessed with some fine breweries, including Captain Cooks, Wylam, Mordue, Durham, Northumbria, Jarrow etc. I like to drink either the light coloured golden ales, or the stouts and porters best, but to be honest I'll try a pint of almost any real ale. With out a doubt though my favourite is this particular drop of loveliness:

I've got a Warwickshire CCC floppy (ooh err!) that I wear to the cricket. I've also got a floppy with my old Uni crest on (from my playing days), that I hardly ever wear. I also have a Warwickshire CCC baseball cap. Now the weather is drawing in, I'll be digging out the woolies. I've got a peaked wooly hat, and also a very warm Sonic Youth bobble hat, as pictured:

I've not heard much of them, I have to say. Not sure if they will be my cup of tea, but I'll give them a go. I heard 'Victoria' on 6 Music this morning and recognised it as one I've heard before. OK, it's a cover, but I liked it, and am thinking there must be more of their stuff I've heard without knowing it's them. I would normally be against suggesting best of albums, but 50,000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong would be a good place to start.

I don't look at this thread for a day, and everyone starts talking about one of my favourite bands! Damn it! Impossible to pick a favourite album by them. I'd probably pick a different one in 10 mins time, if I picked one now!

Can I have that hour and a half of my life back please? Total bore draw. Really lacking in quality in the final third of either end. Also I love Petrov to bits, but if Tonev is anything to go by, he makes a terrible scout!

I always meant to check out Radish. I've got a couple of Ben Kweller albums (Sha Sha being a favourite), but never got around to giving his Radish stuff a listen.

Woeful doesn't do that first half justice. I don't care if we're playing Man City or Lincoln City, we're at home, and we should be doing more to take the game to them than that. It's just bloody embarrassing. Plus to make matters worse, I have to listen to Trevor 666 Francis! FML!

Really?! I love that song! Your opinion though, so can't argue. If I was gonna pick a Clash song, I'd probably go for This Is Radio Clash. Cod Hip Hop doesn't really do it for me.

Just got some tickets for Television at Gateshead Sage. Fairly excited about this one.

Massive gulf in quality between the two sides. We'll do well to keep it at 1-0. Just don't see where a Villa goal is gonna come from either.
