I'm a big fan of GrooveShark (as you'll probably know from previous threads ), also free and has a good database. This sounds very promising.

Why does that sound awful? Czech beer is well known as being the best in the world. I've tried many, and never had a bad one. I can't imagine Coop buyers would select something awful. No I agree, Czech beer is fantastic...only reason I questioned it was because it was Coop branded 8)

2 big bottles of Co-Op "Czech" beer. Yes, it sounds pants (not tried it yet, but well, I'm skint so I'm sure it'll be fine for the money ). EDIT: Aha! Just opened a bottle and it's surrrrrprinsingly good. Not bad for £1.30 a bottle.

Speaking of cider, I actually tried a toffee apple bottle last night. Dunno what it was but it from my local (that I've only just found after being dragged out for a few) and they sell all sorts of funky bottles. I'm not a cider drinker (can you class toffee apple cider as cider?). Wasn't too bad for something different though, can't be drinking the stuff every time I go out mind!

I've actually had vodka with a can of Dr Pepper tonight I had stowed in my work bag...hence me thinking "what's the worse that can happen". It's an acquired taste but I think I could come to love it.

Depends on how much Coke you have with it During my uni days, I literally lost loads of weight by sticking to vodka and not the pints on the evening. I suppose it helped that I was also dancing the night away most nights

Same here. I was sort of talked into it by the shopkeeper, "ah my friend, this very good. Best Russian cheap vodka" (as I stood at the counter perusing my options). I was more tempted by a nice small bottle of brandy but this Russian dude (yes, he sounded Russian ) was very convincing. So, I thought what's the worse that can happen with this bottle of "Drago". Turns out, it is very good

Not a lot for me tonight (got work tomorrow...double time, ching ching!), so methinks 4 cans of Guinness will suffice.

I'm with you on Band of Brothers. Phenomenal TV. I'm a big fan of Heroes, only since Season 2 mind. I wasn't really "in" to Heroes when it first started and my old man sort of converted me. I loved Season 2 and can't wait for Season 3.

Yep, best advice anyone could have and why I'm not going to vote. Think long and hard and ultimately - do what you think is right for you, not what anyone else says.

That could be very true as once upon a time (when I thought IT related stuff wasn't for me), I looked into law stuff. I quickly rejected it as my mind was all over the place and it's obviously for the better, but the likes of Sheffield Uni and even Queen's Belfast University offered me a place based on my A levels of Computing, Physics and Technology. Again, that was a moment of madness - but don't think you need Law at A Level to do Law at Uni - it's actually quite the opposite. The good Law reading Universities tend to want "fresh" students with a good grasp of the english language and not moulded in any way by the A Level That sort of goes against my post above (again, I'll be happy to prove me wrong - that was yonks ago!).

Law is a very "hardcore" subject and as JB says, unless you want to do Law further on down your career then I would think seriously about it. I would suggest you think long and hard about what you ultimately want to end up doing, whether that is something law based or otherwise. Don't worry if you don't know what sort of career you want yet as not many do, but do make sure you pick the right subjects that give you the better chance of you finding the career you like. So the obvious question is...do you like law related matter and could you spend weeks (nay, months!) reading the same material to build up a case? My experience suggests that (not that I have a lot of experience in this ) Law would give you a good rounded subject if you, in a few years decided on something different then you have everything there required by a good degree, i.e analytical skills. English Language is a good subject to take but, again, you've got to think long and hard as to what degree you want to apply it in. Irony is, an English Language would do well on getting you onto a Law degree (I'm happy to be proved wrong ) Good luck, I'm sure whatever you decide will be right decision.

Thirded. I have been totally embarassed by some of the comments on this thread. We're above this sniping and, frankly, abuse that is totally uncalled for and downright disrespectful. We're ASTON VILLA and it's time to take a step back and show the true class that our great name has. It's unfortunate that the "doom and gloom" always seems to show it's ugly rear on the internet but I do find it ironic that MO'N was cheered and chanted to throughout the game yesterday. Many thanks General for your hard work and persistence in what can't exactly be motivating reading this thread. It's very much appreciated.
