yeah it is. Hes doing pretty well. Looks alot more solid than Luna and Bennett put together. Waste of money that was.

I didnt think we could do worse than Bennett. Well we did. Also watching Lichaj. Geez he looks like an improved player. His defending is very good. Got forward a bit and almost scored. Would have preferred not to sign the two duds and waste 4 million and keep him instead. Ah well. PL doesnt believe in our academy.

left back for Nottingham looks pretty good. Some great tackles.. gets forward well. Shame we dont produce this sort of player in our academy and were forced to buy world beaters like Luna and Bennett

lets see who he brings in this transfer window and see how it improves us. Then we will know for certain whether he should stay or go.

he needs a break. Get him out of the starting side. Let him sit on the bench and not come on for a few games. Get his hunger back. All too easy for him at the moment.

People from England dont realise how big a move to the premier league is for a foreigner. It is a big pull to make it in the big league. Schalke wont win the CL this season. They wont win the league and they will be lucky to make the top 4 where they are at the moment. They may make Europa League but i think an Premier League dream is bigger. So no. Not on crack. Just realise what a pull the Premier League is.

Jermaine Jones is leaving to us and Defour to Schalke knowing our luck. But they have so much quality in that midfield. If he wants games. Come to Villa. Prove yourself in the premier league then get your dream move to Manchester or Chelsea. Schalke wont be doing much sitting at 7th in Germany either. But i dont believe for one second we are after him.

So sad seeing his previous goals. Makes you wonder was it a fluke? Was he riding a wave of confidence. Who knows. The talent is definately there. His vision, passing, holding the ball etc. His finishing is way off at the moment. At his previous club he wasnt that deadly and we were advised he was hit and miss with his finishing. Nonetheless he should get at least 10-15 this season i hope.

Or maybe his injuries have destroyed him mentally and physically. Could be the case but i am sure if you give him a chance he will take it and give it his all. Not giving him a go is ruining him even more.

depends what his contract is. Based on his form/experience hes properly entitled to 20k or so. God knows what hes currently on though. At least a year extension to prove his worth ( i think he has already). We will probably wait till were safe before offering contracts

yeah i also saw the german media links on twitter. Says they have opened negotiations. Nothing done or close yet but they are moving quickly.

Looks like he will be released. I'd be okay if he got a new deal and doesn't play as you kbow he's in our plans but it seems lambert doesn't rate him. Maybe he scores too many goals in training.

Lets see what he does this transfer window. He failed to. Bring an AM to the side the last few windows. It is crucial to the way he sets up his teams. I would give him till the end of the season. Unless we lose 5 straight with his new players. Then we are in trouble. Lets sre what happens in 6 weeks. We cant keep chopping and changing. Lerner will not find or afford a better manager.

he doesnt like the youth. Which seems odd as he doesnt often sign players over 26 normally. He doesnt like anyone under 20 either.

I want Benteke to start to get a goal he really needs. Helenius should join him. Gardner must start.. likely alongside Sylla. Albrighton and Tonev on the wings. -
I thought a better player on loan would be much better. Even if their wages are higher. If the loan fee is 1.5 and we get Essien (example) for a season.. whats the difference from having Hoolahan who will provide us with 1 season.. at best 2 seasons. Ah well. If he signs hopefully he does well but i hope we go for Kiyotake in the summer./

Hoolahan is a waste of money imo. He may be great for a season or two at best. No resale value at all. When we need experience players you get them 26-28 years old. Hes almost 32 already. Defour would represent better value for money and re sale value. I cant see us getting both. We need a strong DM alongside either Hoolahan or Defour. I guess its just the level we have to expect now due to Randy Lerner.

not every good trainer is a good player in the games (Tonev!) and a bad trainer can have great games. He still deserves a shot regardless.

dont some players on loan train with the parent club and play elsewhere. So if he went to Walsall for example. Train with us and play on the weekend with them. I am sure ive seen others do this. Not ideal for the loan club but they get a premier league player.
