    This midfield is garbage. I still dont get why people rate Delph so much.. he has improved.. but hes still average. Westwood is poor and the less said about KEA the better.

    looking at the Arsenal side is daunting. But the preview on Bein Sports.. has been quite good.. we need to push forward.. not sit too deep and attack the left back. Lowton really needs to get forward... they have the same problem we normally have where we dont have good width.... lack of cover for Monreal. We really need to get at him when we have the ball.

    Yeah absolutely no chance of this one for me. Awful at home. Arsenal are awesome. All their good players return. Possibly Baker and Vlaar out meaning makeshift side. They dominate possession against us in the best of times. Could have under 20% in this game if were not careful. Need to try and limit their possession and just keep calm and passed it around a bit. Get the full backs attacking as they are not good at defending so they may as well go for it. 4-1 Arsenal. Ramsay brace.Ozil and Giroud scoring. Benteke finally off the mark with a pen.

    Twitters are laughing at the chance of Villa signing Depay. Saying he will sign for a much bigger club. Has he really got that big of a wrap? Just looked up his stats.. 16 games.. 6 goals 4 assists. Not too shabby. Plenty of key passes etc. Might be worth a punt. Not bad for a 19 year old. Him and Grealish on either wings in the future could go down well! 10 million isnt alot if his wages arent high. A 19 year old at PSV who has just come through cant be on too much. Ah to dream.. you never know i guess.. cant see it happening myself but at least this transfer window got a bit interesting.

    The bad rumours tend to come true... Heskey harewood Agathe hutton. If we have 7 million we should be signing a quality AM not jelavic. Time will tell.

    Naughton would be a superb signing but isnt he a right back? I know he can play on the left.. but would that be a good permanent signing? Why not just bring a proper left back? Still properly would start at RB as Lowton has been poor. Bacuna not a rb.

    "Sad" doesn't even begin to cover it. Apart from the pretty tragic effect on Nilis himself, it happened at one of those potential turning points for Aston Villa. True to form, what might have lifted the club permanently into the top bracket turned into yet another disappointment. Yeah i remember. Terrible luck.

    Agreed on both points. Any signing is a risk, really. Very true. Luc Nilis being a good case for that. Cracking player. Sad how it eventuated.

    Could work both ways though. A fresh start at a club who he will most likely be one of our best with a manager who believed in him could have done wonders. I just hope were in for someone of similar quality as Defour. Fingers crossed.

    I like how Martinez came out and bagged the under 21's competition saying its useless for their development. He basically sent out every prospect out on loan. We have done it with a few but he should send a few more too. Robinson is one especially.

    Bennett was poor for a long time. He came good with a few decent performances towards the end of the year. I hope he can build on that. Luna is just poor so far. Aside from his debut.
