  1. Just out of curiosity and boredom. These stats are probably irrelevant as they are all playing in different leagues but its interesting nonetheless. Besides our CM's not being that great. They are on par with Holtby who has barely played or had a run of games. Comparing to some other established midfielders in the country from mid level clubs they are really far behind (including Delph). They add nothing in attack ( as we all know) Kiyotake has good numbers but in a weaker competition. Defour really has had a poor three years............ well that looked better in the typing section....... lol
  2. Be nice to get rid of Alan Hutton too....
  3. I always thought he was a deep lying playmaker. More in the Westwood mould. He would be an improvement thats for sure.
  4. And still am chap. Not sure even a meltdown signing will change that Still it cant be that I cannot be slightly excited now at the potential ( before I inflame any feelings of those concerned at any semblence of informed knowledge) signing of better players So what have you heard Richard? You have hinted it quite a bit. Have you heard we are after certain players? That we will spend money? or are you just optimistic and have not heard a thing?
  5. Maybe PL just thinks his fitness is poor and wont last 50 minutes. However, i still dont see why he could not come off the bench more often
  6. Why not? Let's say, for arguments sake, that we buy both Kiyotake and Hoolahan. One is over 30, has already played in the PL and could be instantly dropped into the first team without having to adjust too much, the other is younger (more long term) and could be given time to adapt without needing to be an instant impact hero (i.e: Benteke last season). Obviously not saying this is happening or anything, but it'd surely be a realistic approach? Yeah i would agree. I just dont see it happening with Randy at the club anymore. Happy to be proven wrong!
  7. Why not? Lets just say we have the money and have identified targets. Just because one of them cost £1M or so, does not mean that others would not require more funds That's a ridiculous argument kSV How about last January. Sylla and Dawkins. Thats it. Different times in our evolutionary scale and financial position Just because it was then does not mean it will be now. I might also add. Lack of interest from attending games. Lack of spending. Rumours the club is for sale. Randy just doesnt care anymore. Why would he spend anymore? I wouldnt. This is my opinion of course. Not arguing

  9. Yeah i cant see us having money. If we did. We wouldnt be after Hoolahan
  10. Agent Jim on twitter... 11,000 followers.. seems to have a respectable following is saying he thinks a bid for Wes has been accepted.
  11. Me personally. Hes not a world beater but he would add so much to our side. His set pieces are amazingly good and consistent. He has great vision and can spray the ball around. Good control and composure. Pretty much everything we lack from all our midfielders. Would just add so much to our side. His tenacity and work rate is awesome as well. Hes not going to score 15 goals and set up 10. But he will keep our side ticking and most likely lead the assists column.
  12. Imagine Guzan Lowton Vlaar Okore Bennett Delph Defour Ince Gabby Kiyotake Benteke We would be fighting for top 8 and no worries of relegation.
  13. Heitinga is proper poor. Everton fans cant wait to get rid. Speaks volumes. Awful player on big wages. I dont think we need a defender. If we buy a midfield that can control the ball a bit longer.. the defence wont be under as much pressure.
  14. Kiyotake can leave for a free if they get relegated. Surely they would accept a lower offer as they are looking likely!
  15. Ince Defour and Kiyotake in January. BANG. Challenge for the title *not serious just for those who may think im deluded*
  16. good article on Nicklas with PL saying he will get a chance. Bout farking time.
  17. Interesting article from a belgian paper. Apologies for the google transalation. Steven Defour decides according to his manager about a week where his future lies . An ancient feud between Aston Villa coach Paul Lambert and his former club Norwich may well backfire on the Red Devil . Would favorably As is known Norwich midfielder Wes Hoolahan in pole position to strengthen . Midfield Aston Villa Trainer Paul Lambert prefers indeed a player with Premier League experience over someone from a foreign league . According to Daily Express refused 'The Canaries ' just launched a bid for the club from Birmingham . Hoolahan would this transfer request submitted . The problem is that Paul Lambert still is at odds with Norwich , where he and French doors , and even threatened with a lawsuit . This seems 'The Canaries ' not wanting to work right away on a transfer . All this may be good news for Steven Defour . The Red Devil is held by Aston Villa on hand in case the transfer of Hoolahan is canceled . Defour would like to take over his immediate future . Decision in a week The 25 -year-old midfielder arrives at Porto little playing time and wants to safeguard his World Cup chances . Anderlecht also continues to insist that the former Standard- captain
  18. There’s no point in paying over the odds for players. Wes Hoolahan is not worth any more than £1million. He will have no resale vlaue. And Defour is worth nowhere near £6million! He is a bench warmer at Porto. £3million would be generous. yeah thats fine mate. I was just making examples. If we go on to spend money then great.. dont have a problem with low balling to get a good price. But if were low balling because we have 2 million to spend this January then we really do have big problems. Last January we were in a worse position and we spend money on a shit loan and a french division 2 player. Rubbish. I hope we do more this time around but i just cant see it.
  19. I thought Everton were in talks with him?
  20. I think its more because we dont have much of a budget so were low balling to save coin. If we offer 6 million on Defour then it wont matter.. but we all know that wont happen. I am more pissed about the possibility that the budget is going to be like last January. I hope not but i think Randy just doesnt care anymore. Sell up Randy.
  21. Defour sighted at Birmingham Airport lol. Got to love twitter. Anthony Limbombe talking to officials also doing the rounds.
  22. Sounds about right though. Were getting nothing.
  23. they are stubborn and wont sell him to us cheaply. Were wasting our time.
