Id be amazed if the council would let us, they're redeveloping large chunks of the city, largely due to HS2, young professionals, businesses etc etc
football stadiums don't tick that box
They're not pumping £2bn in to Smith fields to then put a stadium next to it
Football stadiums might not tick the box, but multi-purpose, year-round venues, do.
FWIW, I don't see us moving to the city centre, but I do think the future of VP is more than just a football stadium.

What we shouldn't fail to appreciate here, is that an elite manager is committed to our club and that the fan base is united in their support for him. As Villa fans, we have been desperate for something like this for as long as the Premier League has existed.
Others will tell us that we are getting ahead of ourselves, that Unai has been forced out of more elite clubs in the past, and that he, or we, will reach an impasse at some point... Those commentators can suck my balls!
I'm going to enjoy every moment of this mutual love-in and when it ends, my football club will be in a better place and I will smile upon the countless irreplaceable memories.

After his success tonight, hopefully Emi has received a text from his good mate Leo.
If we win a European final and qualify for the CL, he'd surely be keen...

Well having checked out the new Olympic stadium in Egypt built by our owners company we certainly have the expertise to build a mega stadium.
Add to that the expertise on rail and mono rail we have just employed something is clearly in the pipeline.
Not just a stadium, they built a whole sports complex!
Could you imagine what they might surround a new Villa stadium with?! The fan experience could be off the charts.

s a capacity of 2,100 people per hour (in both directions but most will be going to the city centre not the airport, though that could be used as a roundabout way to reach the city by train), which is clearly insufficient for a 60,000 seater stadium and the NEC car parks are an absolute disaster to get out off after a concer
Considering the board now includes the CEO of a construction company owned by NS and a person with past experience helping WE with a similar situation for the Milwaukee Bucks, I'd suggest that the expertise is there to take whichever approach is deemed most beneficial to the long-term viability of the club.
It goes without saying, a new stadium, with top quality facilities for all fans, usable all year round, amongst a redeveloped vicinity, in the second city... that's a very attractive prospect. However much Villa fans care for it, Villa Park will always have its limitations when compared to modern stadiums. If it can remain in the area, and Villa Park remains an icon e.g. a museum in the Holte and a public space to the Holte Pub, it might be the best outcome.

Chelsea beat a poor Everton last night, have to remember they are 9th for a reason - they lack consistency.
Hopefully we can back up the Arsenal result with a win against Bournemouth. When we beat Arsenal and Man City we backed it up beating Brentford. Sometimes teams get a big result and then lose the weekend after. Fingers crossed we can get through against Lille, English teams have a good week in Europe and we can have a comfortable home game this weekend!

Everton - Win
Sheff Utd - Draw
Man Utd - Win
Burnley - DrawIf we play like we did at Arsenal, we'll blow them away.
Chelsea also play Man City and Arsenal before us. We'll be their third game in the same week. They follow us by playing Spurs. They'll need to rotate.
Chelsea won't be an easy game, but I'm more concerned about Bournemouth, mostly because they are next.

You only have to look at the table to see the difference, the goal difference alone for City, Arsenal and Liverpool is way ahead of us and Spurs. We're not at their level, we're just the level below though, which I'm fine with, we're still a working project under Unai.
Only because our defence has been porous at times, and that's only because we've suffered injuries (Ty, Cash, Moreno, Pau, Carlos, Ezri) across the back four and with Bouba. We don't have an issue scoring goals, so if the defensive structure had stayed injury-free, our goal difference would be much improved.

DM/CM is a priority for me. We've struggled to find balance since Kamara was injured and it's certainly not helped to have had SJM and Doug suspended. I think we can pull off a bit of Monchi magic here and get a quality player on a free.
Find a starting RB (assuming Nedeljković isn't ready to compete for the spot) allowing Konsa to step back into the CB rotation.
Find that forward player that can do as close to an impression of Ollie as the man himself. No doubting we'd be in a different position if it were not for his goals. However much I like him, I don't think Jhon Duran is it and he could be one we cash in on.
We might choose to bring Jaden back, which I'd be up for. If Archer comes back, I think we sell him on again.
So similar to last season. A couple of standout purchases that don't break our bank and a neat bit of market manoeuvring to stay within the rules.

You can see why Man City brought him as a 15 year old, looking good with each game, good to see him manage the full 90 aswell
It was all part of Peps plan to see Arsenal throwaway the 2023/24 title.

Can we also ditch BK8 after this season for a blue chip sponsor?
Imagine looking back at the history of the clubs 150th year, with a beautiful kit made by Adidas, that's soiled by a BK8 logo!
*Not to mention the underwhelming new crest!

Was REALLY close for the playoff spots, in the end. Somebody missed out via 'points for', I think. Everyone else was 1 or 2 wins off. Competitive!
Thanks for a great - and relatively drama free - regular season, all!
Guilty!
Damn it.

The considered points changes in full effect. Also, 3 wins separate 2nd to 12th.
I've never known it so close. It's made for an exciting season.

Great player, shit attitude. Couldn't see his ego blending with the current team love-in.
