  1. well, I left my ipod on a train on monday. I assumed the worst, but was persuaded to ring up the lost and found at the end station a few days later - and lo it had been handed in - so in that light yes I would hand the ticket in!
  2. 2 years since the last form of any kind at the end of an odd relationship. However, the last two years ( well up till about 5 months ago ) were hell, so I'm not too bothered. But recently things have looked up onm that score. An increased ( ie return of an an actual ) social life, bit of confidence, greater sense of what I'm looking for has helped, and there's a couple of friendships brewing quite nicely. Still, no rush. what's a few more months when you've gone years?
  3. Explosions In The Sky - It's Natural To Be Afraid
  4. Freebird too. first time I heard it - I was astonished. I'm not a guitar player myself not even close to amaetur level - but if Iwas that'd be the one I'd love to play.
  5. heh. I like Pulp Fiction and Usual Suspects but I do think the latter is a bit overrated. Kevin Spacey is great, but it's a once only kinda film for me. good shout on Fargo though levi.
  6. I still have to see that one actually, despite having had the dvd for years now :/ must get round to it!
  7. oh damn, I had shawshank in mind when I voted, and completely missed LA Confidential which may well have pipped it. Both of those my favourites, though I haven't yet seen a couple of those mind.
  8. Good to see you back again General. Godspeed with the final recovery!
  9. telegraph exposing idiots expenses - who'd have thought?!
  10. Palin. Quite clearly the best well known Palin on so many levels.
  11. oh i used to go to them all the time, my favourite gigs they were. Gogol Bordello in a bristol pub for a fiver easily my favourite gig, but seeing an established band with a good back catalogue playing live for £40 is fair enough. Especially since I probably haven't paid as much for the albums as I could / should have.
  12. ticket prices surely mkae more sense with concerts. they are one off and special! football is every other bloody week. £55 still a bit OTT especially for a bunch of useless inept tosspots, but I have no issues at all shelling £30-40 out for a band I'd really like. I'm only watching them once, not 19 times.
  13. being pro EU is fairly unpopular at the moment, so I wouldn't expect them to do well at a time when corruption, protests and insular mentalities are seemingly in the ascendancy. An increase in Lib Dem votes would have been spectacular, so to remain fairly steady as Charles Kennedy claimed is quite a decent result.
  14. regaridng thos statistics, worth a read: http://www.jcm.org.uk/blog/?p=2230
  15. far too many voters it seems would rather have sided with the fuhrer back in the 40's and shot their grandparents to death on omaha. pity really.
  16. 3. I'm English but just not bothered. I follow England cricket team, but that's about as patriotic as I get. Villa have had my money, Villa get my support. If villa players do well in internationals then I'm pleased for them, so I could say 2, but its not exclusively an English thing. I watch international football, and i do enjoy the qualifications and the tournaments, but i just prefer to watch it from a neutral standpoint.
  17. conference on in a minute. 4.30 now apparently.
  18. good result. United were abysmal beyond belief for a final.
  19. sitting down, using my feet to pull myself across the carpet.
  20. benitez from redknapp really - but that really is a battle of the titanic clearings in the woods
  21. vratislav out of the way, now onto some peroni I think, whilst fervently praying for more of that icelandic lass
