  1. Not sure where you are, but in case you are overseas I had the same problem. I had to open chrome in my android box, go to maps and click the location circle in the corner and wait for it to zoom in on my location. Then I could go back into the villa app and it works. I have to do this every time and make sure I'm on WiFi and not ether. If you're in the UK maybe follow a similar process using the location changer
  2. Nothing wrong with his performances. It's to do with changing the squad to adapt to situations. Without our creative players it's pointless playing Hogan. When we need to graft and muscle stick Lewis or Davis in.
  3. No problem the forum is for debate! Elmo has been found out a few times this season when it comes to dealing with a pacey opponent. So I think this double up was intentional. AT also isn't an out and out RB he can play anywhere across the back and in DM, so would be comfortable moving around tracking sessegon, he also has the strength and pace to push forward. He showed all these traits throughout the game. Sessegnon has 12 maybe more goals this season. He is lighting quick and definitely their danger man. (He scored at the end of the day) His weak point is his physicality, so putting AT on him was a good move for me. AT has the pace to deal with him and on numerous occasions muscled him off the ball. So yeah for me that was his job and the one lapse we concede.
  4. I think IMO that AT was tasked with man marking Sessengon. Hes been their most prolific player this season with most of their play going through him. He was on him like glue where ever he went and nullified him in the first half. He came further forward a lot to track him leaving Elmo to cover him. I think it worked perfectly up until the goal when for the first time AT lost him and we were punished. That's why I think he was at fault. Just my opinion that they said stick on him for 90 mins. It looked like that to me
  5. Unfortunate that his only mistake led to the goal, apart from that thought he was cracking
  6. The runner was sessengon who ran in from the right and scored. Axel is 100% at fault. He lost his man and that man scored. Other than that lapse he had him in his pocket the entire game. Original poster has it spot on
  7. Probably will when he is fit, but he isn't. Grabban isn't either.
  8. Not match fit yet. There ends the drama.
  9. Rb personally I thought he looked a bit raw at first. Chester had a word with him after he lost his man a few times. Came into it though. Looks comfortably on the ball and is a big pacey lad
  10. Records signing?? No he isn't? The facts are simple. Fulham were over the moon to get rid of him. He was a nightmare for rdm. He was a nightmare at forest on loan. He was same again for Bruce. There are posters on here who are connected to the club. The same at other villa sites. All have stated the club have bent over backwards on multiple occasions to help him. Olive tree rather than branch. He has thrown it back in their face. Alcohol issues, mental health issues and a rich obnoxious footballer rolled into one. The club are not to blame. Whether posters think mental health is a made up disease is neither here or there. We brought a bad egg. Tried to help him and it failed. We move on. With all respects let's not get carried away with him scoring at a league level.
  11. As a club that had become a graveyard for overpaid has beens and failure, he really has breathed a sense of professionalism back into the squad/club. Hopefully a winning mentality will follow. Masterstroke of a signing and one of the most important we've made in yrs.
  12. One of my favs. Try to make someone else out to be stupid and spell your wrong. You're for future reference. Like..you're being miserable after we've won 5 in a row kind of thing.
  13. He's been on over a hundred grand for many yrs. Plus sponsorship deals, and bonuses from abramovich. If money was his motivation he could have gone abroad. He's a tweet showing him doing his homework Check out @villareport’s Tweet: Very clear that his coaching badges were more important to him. Round is one of the best about in this field. Pretty clear what his motivation was.
  14. Why is it? To the man on the street 10mil is life changing. In football it's nothing. To Terry it's nothing. His main motivation at this stage of his career was to play regularly and finish his coaching badges. He has worked with Round for yrs in the England set up. So to join us, play every week and work with Round at our facilities would have been a no brainer. Id imagine a club from abroad would have offered a lot more than that. It also wouldn't surprise me if redkanpp had persuaded the people at blues to give him 10mill. In fact it stinks of Harry.
  15. Plus we offered to help finish his coaching badges with Steve Round which probably sweetened the deal. He said JT has been a revelation around the place from the youth squad up.
  16. He really wasn't. That's overly harsh. He made a few sloppy passes. But he made a fair few crucial blocks and interceptions and took care of all the mucky stuff quite well and gave con and Jack more freedom. Yeah defo not a 10 but crap is way off the mark.
  17. From what I can make out they always wanted him from the beginning but had to wait due to his contract with borough. The difference is massive. Glad he is here now for the run in.
  18. In his interview wyness said we have always been a coach light. Steve now completes the team. Calderwood is the defensive coach, Agnew is the attacking coach and Clement is what he called the dressing room coach. Fair to say it looks like it's making things click into place.
  19. For a start it means big crowds every week. A full wknd match experience. If there is things to do and places to stay away fans and villa fans from a far are more likely to come and stay. The new north stand might be an entertainment hub in itself. Plus villa could build restaurants pubs ect. To be fair he did say in the interview that it's very early stages of that part of it. The redevelopment is the main priority
  20. To be fair I don't think challenge was his exact words. It was more established prem team again and then be in a position to push the top 6. His exclusive was that we were talking to Van Persie for the past 2 weeks but in the end we decided he wasn't a good fit for football reasons. I didn't see the point of telling us that but he said that's the level we're looking at this window. We aren't very very close to breaking FFP and if somebody is available that is better than what we have we are in a position to do it.
  21. The championship I think. He said if we go up it's less of a problem. But he kind of said it as there will be a big change within the rules. He made a fair comment about us going up. He said it'll take 2 or 3 seasons for us to be able to challenge. He said in this market the tv money only buys you 2 or 3 players depending on who you're after. Never thought about that. Said 100mill in the prem now is nothing
  22. Just listening to his interview on WM. Interesting to hear that FFP is finally being challenged by clubs. He thinks there could be changes to the rules for the better after the season ends. He said if Dr T wanted to pump in 100mill of his own money for us to use he wouldn't be allowed with the current rules. It's bizzare that as the owner of a business he isn't allowed to do what he wants with it financially
  23. hmmm depends. They literally stumbled into the prem. In 3 play off games they scored one goal and went up/through from two penalty shoot outs. Not exactly total football is it. Play some decent stuff occasionally but hit and miss for me.
  24. Saw an interview with Bruce where he said exactly that. Agnew had been working with Hogan having one on one training sessions. Seems to be working.
