  1. And get some support to Hogan FFS in the form of a number 10 or partner
  2. Right time to be brave against reading Bruce. You're using injuries as an excuse so show some balls and play the kids who are untainted and not brain washed from years of shit managers. And drop those " grafters" who are just plain shit. We haven't got wingers fit so go narrow and see what happens. ----------------Johnstone-------------- Bree--------Terry-------Chester-------Taylor -------Onomah---- Whelan---Hourihane -------------------------O'Hare---------------- -------------Hogan-------------Gabby/RHM
  3. I reckon Terry is included in most opposition managers team talks. Like it or not his signing has given opponents ammunition to try and prove they can get the better of him. 100% that would have been Warnocks motivation yesterday and it showed. Their forwards were bang on it.
  4. Absolutely tremendous news. Will love not ever seeing his name on the team sheet again. Who are the sorry sods that are buying him? I'm hoping Leeds.
  5. Bucky O'Hare, Onomah, Steer and Hogan all played very well. Onomah showed real composure for a young lad of 19. He needs to be getting some league action. Not bothered about the overall performance at all. Not the night to focus on that.
  6. In many ways it's a more interesting and creative line up than on Saturday. It really shows our strength in depth as a championship team and highlights how there really are no excuses for Bruce this year. Really really hoping that hourihane and hogan more than anyone play awesome tonight and gain some much needed confidence.
  7. That substituition extinguished any remaining confidence Hogan has. like others have said there were other options available to him. Very poor sub.
  8. Deja vu of last season when will this bacuna experiment end? He's so poor. Lansbury was also truly awful. He's beginning to annoy me.
  9. Looks like Dr Xia is referring to Ryan Kent arriving on loan from Liverpool. Has looked a very tricky and lively player in liverpools pre season by all accounts. Could be a grealish replacement.
  10. Yeh it made me chuckle when I read comments yesterday that he can't cross a ball. People are so quick to talk about a player they have never properly watched. He's a fantastic crosser of the ball, something which we are notoriously shit at.
  11. Would have like one of hourihane and Lansbury in for Gardner. Amavi and Bree will have to be very forward thinking otherwise with just 3 attack minded players in there it will be turgid stuff
  12. Let's face it hourihane should be starting ahead of bacuna. Hourihane really needs a run in the team to get back to that player he was for Barnsley. Bacuna should have left ages ago and offers nothing at all. Looks like a neat one two with Kodjia has earnt him another start.
  13. I went to the game. We didn't deserve to lose. In the first half we nullified Huddersfield very well and managed to create 3 good chances which all could have ended up in the back of the net. Story of many games this season. The football wasn't scintillating (people need to make peace that it never will be with Bruce) in the first half but it was proving to be a perfect away performance. What was very impressive was our pressing high up the pitch led by hourihane. I'd like to see more of that. The second half was poorer from us. Too many hopeful long balls not much cohesion.however we were not under real pressure at any point. They shot they scored once again story of our season in many ways. This game shouldn't be used as a stick to beat Bruce with. People usin stats who didn't go to the game need to put their keyboard down. They bare no relevance whatsoever to last nights game. Dislike Bruce or not the fact is We were unlucky. Get over it.
  14. Chris Samba is training with us oh dear god Steve
  15. I feel lower tonight than I did on the day our relegation was confirmed. I think it's because I had from December of that season to prepare myself for us going down. I don't feel prepared for this complete and utter free fall coz I didn't see it coming. We are right up shit creek without a paddle. **** me

  17. and there it is. Hogan out for the season. Kodjia and gabby it is
  18. This has the exact same feel to the final few months of our relegation season. It could seriously happen. Now the oles from the fans. So so painful to support us
  19. i would love to know the attacking training ground drills that Bruce does. The lack of cohesion, movement, awareness and patterns of play is absolutely staggering.
  20. It's **** gut wrenching supporting us. And I'm sorry but the whole we are unlucky every shot is goin in doesn't wash. We've been comfortable in this game because Newcastle haven't been in our box. Get the ball in our box we shut ourselves and you score. It reallY is simple as that Newcastle haven't turned up. They are playing shit and find themselves one nil up. When we still can't string 3 passes together and remain impotent going forward I can't see how anyone can say we are playing well
  21. Newcastle have lost their last 11 Monday night games........ Enter Aston Villa
  22. Supporting villa at the moment is like having one of those nightmares where your desperately trying to run away but your legs won't move. I am literally at a loss with what will turn our fortunes around. Its as if no matter how hard we try the footballing gods have decided we are going to drop down a further division.
  23. I forget the stat but it's been a ridiculous amount of years since we won after being behind after half time.2-2 at Best but will probably end 1-3. Before the forest game I laughed when someone said we could be relegated. I'm really not so sure now. We are in absolute freefall
  24. It is defendable when we had 22 shots to their 11. Are you saying if we had four defenders we would have had 32 shots or 42 shots? We played attacking enough yesterday to win that game.
  25. I think he deserves until the end of the season unless we are in serious danger of going down. Yesterdays 1 shot on target and 1 goal for Ipswich demonstrates that. Birmingham hit wednesdays post three times yet Wednesday won 3-0. I know it sounds pathetic and don't get me wrong Bruce's tactics are very questionable at the moment but I do think we continue to be very unlucky and are suffering from this transition we are going through. Bruce got us unbeaten for 7-8 games and picked up some wins with what we would all say is a worse squad than now. Let's give him a bit longer to find a solution to these new players. They are now after all little fishes in a big pond rather than the other way around. What also makes me think he deserves a bit of time is the football played by other teams doing well. Wednesday fans will admit they have been very poor in recent games and managing to win despite playing badly. Some fans even want Carlos gone because they can't get past this. Leeds style of football has been awful for most of the season yet look where they are. I don't buy this "Monk has got them playing well". He hasn't they've been very lucky and Chris Wood for some reason has the magic touch despite being ridiculed by fans last season. The wheels are starting to come off now.Derby Norwich have also had awful runs in this league. The problem is we have a history of losing we are striving to get away from. So when we play badly it turns into defeat. We are used to knowing the outcome and that includes the players. Pathetic but valid IMO. That can't be an excuse from now on because of our big turnaround of players but Bruce deserves time to get these new players gelling. yes a lot of that is based on his managerial history of promotions however it is also based on the opinion that football isn't always black and white. Just ask Claudio Ranieri.
