  1. Jesus. If he plays for Fulham that goes in. it looks like the only way we are gonna score is off de laets hooter
  2. i wonder if Jordan will start today. It's early days after his injury but I've got a feeling RDM prefers the more experienced head of Cissokho. if that's going to be the case I'd like to see him given a chance on the left wing. We know he can skin most players with pace and he can whip a ball in. Plus he'd have that defensive head on him to not leave cissokho isolated. Him and Adomah would offer that speed in the final third we severely lack. I think its a potential option during a game to allow grealish/Ayew to move inside where imo they can do more damage
  3. Bendters going to score isn't he
  4. Was listening to Warnock on talksport recently and he made some interesting points regarding Mcormack who he managed at Leeds. In a nutshell he said it's very difficult to fit him in a system. You want him in your team because of his ability but it can often affect the system you try to play. It kind of made sense listening to him because there are those players that you know are quality but tricky to find a system that brings the best out of them because of the type of player they are. i guess Rooney for utd/England would be a more recent example of this. I think his slow start at villa is possibly down to what Warnock has said. These teething problems are us trying to figure out how to get the best out of him. By Wednesday night however it might all be different if we sign a striker as the pressure will be off him. Hopefully Assombalonga
  5. He's very solid at both. Got a fair bit of pace to get us up the pitch quickly but also has the awareness and positioning defensively. Solid is literally the best word for him. if I could like him to any fairly recent right back it would be Luke Young, who I thought was fantastic for us. A 7/10 player every game
  6. If there is one thing that Rhodes is not, its pacy. His lack of speed is his one big flaw imo. Hernandez would be a much better option. 20 goals last year and he's carried on scoring already this year. Rhodes is off the boil. although I would still like somebody quicker. Abel ain't slow but a speed merchant would be great.
  7. Even a 38 year old Drogba would make every championship defence shit his pants. His game was never about pace. His physical presence alone could create space for other players. i doubt we could rely on his fitness for a whole season though so a Bamford etc would still be needed. And we would still desperately need some pace .
  8. For the love of god don't build your hopes up for a world class striker. Tony has got excited and used the term rather flippantly. My one requirement for our new number 9 is pace. Because we have absolutely bugger all of it going forwards.
  9. In my opinion the defender should be clearing that. Sod all this leaving it for the keeper bollocks. If it's within reach of u then **** clear it. Much more chance of a balls up and hesitation if left for the keeper. and if your talking points he's "lost" us It's 3 points in 3 games
  10. He is the reason i support this fantastic football club. He was good friends with my sister while living in Sheffield. He turned up on my doorstep to pick her up and being a young lad yet to find a club I idolised him from that moment on. I remember him being so kind. Followed his career to villa and then I knew I'd found the perfect team. RIP Dalian. You were a true gentleman.
  11. Just look at him closely in the lead up to the own goal. Standing in the area, hardly moving, staring at the ball, completely flat footed. Then swings his foot half arsed without a care in the world. Yet another disease of a player
  12. I'm beginning to wonder if we actually needed a ruthless **** like Pearson to rid ourselves of these pathetic human beings. Its early days but I question whether RDM has the wrecking balls. Richards and Hutton should be nowhere near the team bus and spooning gabby and lescott
  13. I reckon if you offered every player who was here last season a way out of this club they would jump at the chance. They don't want to be here. There performances will continue to reflect this.
  14. Look at the way he connects with the ball. Just hangs his leg out like he couldn't give a toss. ive never seen a squad of players with such little heart, desire and willingness to put things right . I mean it's astonishing. Truly Astonishing. Any meagre hope I had of us getting promoted has been distinguished in 2 games
  15. I'm lost for words. our whole playing squad needs shooting di matteo and Clarke already have the faces of our previous managers. After two **** games. im really not sure if we are ever gonna win a game again
  16. i know we've got a lot of shit players. But Gary Gardner wouldn't look out of place in a Sunday league team. And this first half has simply reminded me why we probably can't get away with playing Grealish from the start. It's like playing with ten men. He is truly woeful off the ball and not good enough on it
  17. Quotes Tweeted by a Uruguayan Journo in Spanish
  18. I am salivating at the thought of an attacking 4 of Morrison Ayew McCormack and Hernandez
  19. Quotes from Hernandez have been released saying he wouldn't hesitate to sign for us
  20. RDM was a top class central midfielder. Theres no way he's watching Gardner and Westwood and thinking their good enough. He will get that area sorted. Hopefully in August rather than January.
  21. I must admit I thought he was horrible today. His body language was all wrong aswell. So laboured and about 3 seconds behind the ball. A lot of balls out wide that were hit too hard. The problem is there is only Tishbola as competition for his place and I think RDM picked him because he played a lot for forest last year and is a bit more experienced. The reality is though that he isn't good enough. Couple that with Westwood being alongside him and we ain't gonna do shit. Watching them both in the first half was painful.Bola looked much more lively in his short cameo.
  22. I think the plan was always to give him 60-75 mins. For a guy that has hardly had a pre season I think he looked sharp. A nice touch and very intelligent movement. I understand the Robbie Keane comparisons. Let's get some more quality around him and he'll be away.
  23. He was fantastic. Brave, committed and vocal. Finally a captain we can connect with!
  24. I wouldn't boo him. But he needs to **** off
