  1. Happy. Shame about the sloppy conceded goal because we really felt in control defensively. The 3-4-3 is working. Very pleased with Nyland's game. Faultless, very assured and his distribution is a step up from what we've had. Hopefully he can continue on in that vein.
  2. In the Australian Football League (Aussie Rules), the match review panel and tribunal are often criticised because they'll set their punishment based on the outcome of a reckless or intentional action instead of the action itself. So if you bump someone high and they get up, you'll get nothing, but if you execute exactly the same bump to a concussion prone player and knock them out, you'll get suspended for several matches. It seems unfair, but it's a duty of care issue. If you're going to clatter into someone, the onus is on you to ensure that you don't hurt them. Mee has, at the very least, gone in hard to make Wes earn it, and in doing so he's badly injured him. He's got form for doing the same sort of thing. It's not 1970. There has to be some sort of duty of care exercised and players need to be punished for making dangerous tackes, whether they get the ball or not. This wasn't a freak accident. He's tried to hurt Wes and he's ended his season. It's not okay.
  3. VAR was obviously diabolical. Had we not held our nerve our Premier League survival and untold millions that comes with that could have been dashed by some idiot eyeballing lines on his fancy graphics program and then ruling off a goal for something that happened in the build up play. Nobody, and I repeated nobody wants goals ruled off for things like that. They need a minimum "clear and obvious" distance to overturn a goal for an offside, whether it's 10cm or whatever. Jack and Doug were brilliant in the middle. I think the formation worked a treat. We looked strong at the back, we looked better able to get forward. I think it really worked well today. I think we absolutely had the better chances. Apart from the VAR goal, we had several other chances that we'd have buried if we were a bit more confident and in tune with each other. Luiz's poor effort in the 3 on 3 and the fail to cut back to Trez being the most obvious ones. Regardless of performance, it's all about points, and that was absolutely massive for a team who can't get a result away from home. Fingers crossed for Heaton and Wesley.
  4. Incredibly proud of that half. That sort of horses**t chalk off is exactly the kind of thing that could have caused us to drop our heads, but we carried on and dominated the half. Burnley have been bad but we've controlled the match and punished their mistakes.
  5. YESSSS JACK! He's an absolute wizard at the moment.
  6. We're in the bloody relegation zone and we get an away goal chalked off for that. Absolutely criminal
  7. That is the biggest load of shit i've ever seen. No way you can say that's definitely off, and it wasn't even in the direct build up.
  8. As above, Optus Sport is your best bet. Got any Australian friends or family who have a phone with Optus?
  9. For some reason, a decade or so ago I began standing to wipe. I have no idea how or why this started, because I definitely was a sitting wiper as a child. It's too long ago to remember the pros and cons at the time that led me to change. After a recent discussion at work about this, the vast majority seemed to be in the sitting camp, and considered standing really weird. I thought i'd try sitting again based on that feedback, and it's a revelation. Way less toilet paper required overall, and seemingly less chance of paper rolling off and getting stuck in my arse hair. Anyway, despite reverting to the old method, 10+ years of post-shit muscle memory will still get me to stand once i've finished snapping one off most of the time. I'm getting there but it's a process.
  10. I really liked it, I thought it wrapped up the trilogy really well, even if it did have to retcon a few things from The Last Jedi. It felt like we got a lot of good scenes together with the leads, who had plenty of chemistry. C3PO was excellent. Lots of fan service, but i'm a fan so I loved it. I still can't really believe the decision to give another writer/director with wildly different ideas the 2nd movie in a trilogy. Someone really needs to be fired for that stuff up. It's like an episode of Whose Line Is It Anyway where Abrams started a scene and then half way through Clive Anderson piped in and changed what it was all about, and Abrams had to deal with it and carry on.
  11. We'll get away to Manchester United as usual, but now we're ready for them
  12. I thought Wes was okay, was a handful for the defenders which created a lot of space for Jack to work his magic in. We could have had a few more there, controlled the game really well. Heaton was excellent as well.
  13. I'm really pleased for him, he'll always be someone I follow closely. Can we go back in time and appeal Chelsea's transfer ban? Without it they'd have no doubt spunked 80mil on a striker and we could have pried Tammy away from them for a bargain.
  14. It's frustrating because we just struggle to put 90 good minutes together. We've played much better football than our league position suggests, but we make a lot of mistakes and we're getting punished for them at this level. I keep hoping it'll finally click, but it'd be nice just to put a few results together and get away from the drop zone
  15. What the hell are on about today. We've just forgotten how to play
  16. Docherty dragged Targett down by the arm, how did the commentators not see that?
  17. Need Hourihane on, but we need to change everything. We're nowhere near it at the moment
  18. What an absolutely disgraceful decision then. The only thing that'll save that from enormous scrutiny is that we'll lose comfortably
  19. Sterling must have been onside when De Bruyne played it because there's no way he could be considered to have not been in play.
  20. I thought the Luiz penalty shout was way closer than that block.
  21. You are f***ing kidding me, never a foul. Absolute shit
  22. That goal was always coming, we've been giving them acres of space for 20 minutes
