  1. Brunt should have been off or at least had a yellow from the stamp. f*** this ref
  2. I swear it's like we're playing with a different brand of ball from last week. Every cross over hit, every ball into the box is poor
  3. Can't believe that wasn't a card for a deliberate stamp right in front of the ref. Should have been a red.
  4. We just cannot get anything working, ever ball into the box is overhit. We need Kodjia on I reckon
  5. I'm really not sure why they couldn't have saved the dragon getting killed for this episode. It was such a weak and boring death last episode. Imagine if they had 2 dragons destroying the walls at the beginning, right up until the point where the Lannister army surrender, and then as they lay down their swords, the dragons land atop the walls. Cersei realising that her men have surrendered rages and orders Euron to kill the dragons, and he manages to ballista one of them to death. THEN Dany flips her lid and burns the whole city. It would have had so much more impact. Don't get me wrong, i'm fully supportive of The Mad Queen and I think it's the best way to conclude the series, they just needed more time to flesh it out. It's become incredibly obvious that their story that they only had 6 episodes worth of story left was complete bullshit and that the series was cut due to budget constraints. The pacing has been so rushed compared to the previous 7 seasons.
  6. Lots of average payoff deaths in that episode after 8 seasons. While I like the idea of the mad queen, they've only left themselves an episode left to explore it which isn't enough to do it in an interesting way.
  7. It's bizarre that they've spent so much money and just don't have any stars, apart from Pogba who has been slightly above average for them and is probably on the way out. They really have to turn over the entire squad apart from a few of their younger players.
  8. FFS Barcelona. You can't even be the most boring club in the world correctly. Well played to Liverpool, you can't deny that sort of performance. Fingers crossed City and Ajax can get the job done though
  9. We're absolutely better than last year, and it's not even close IMO. Better at creating chances, better at scoring chances, stronger defence. We're the best side in the playoffs if we play anywhere near our best.
  10. What a bizarre way to let your career fizzle out. He's only 30 years old, he should be in his prime. Was he really injured to the point where he couldn't take part, or did he just lose interest but couldn't move on because nobody would pay him what he was earning here?
  11. I'm still so chuffed that we went from such a dire position to locking up a playoff spot with 2 games to play. It's been nice to have the pressure off for a couple of weeks, because the playoffs are going to be incredibly stressful, purely because we're in such good form and I expect us to win.
  12. We would have opened them up like a tin of sardines with our best side. Not really worried at all, and as others have said, it gets the loss monkey off our our backs.
  13. We absolutely are in the box seat, playing the best football and we should go up. Which is exactly why the playoffs are the least enjoyable football matches imaginable. Until we're 3-0 up in party time in the final, i'm so wracked with nerves that I can't enjoy a single second of it. Goals are merely a relief as opposed to something to celebrate.
  14. Imagine winning the lottery and being told you can only spend a percentage of what you earn annually because sometimes people win the lottery and spend irresponsibly and run into financial trouble. A soft cap type solution is the answer here, with the further a team goes over the cap, the more thoroughly they have to show how they can afford to cover all their liabilities.
  15. Depends on the shade and design. This was my favourite kit from the World Cup
  16. I see no reason why FFP couldn't be softened from a hard cap to a soft cap. Teams should be able to spend whatever they like, but if going over the soft cap, they need to demonstrate to the Football League that they can afford to cover all their financial liabilities if the owner suddenly stops investing. If that means the owner putting money into holding accounts to cover wages for a set period, fine. Protecting clubs from folding is incredibly important, but it shouldn't come at the cost of stopping clubs that can afford to invest from doing so.
  17. I don't even think we got out of 2nd gear but we totally controlled that game, should have probably had 1 or 2 more. 10 wins on the bounce, just an amazing effort for all concerned really. Phenomenal in such a competitive league.
  18. I think we're playing fairly conservatively, we're well in control. As others have said, we seem to go out wide when we've got some room in the middle. Kodjia probably should have done better with that ball where he was past the defenders, but overall we've been really solid.
  19. All the talk about the crypts makes me think the Night King is going to raise all the dead Starks in the crypts during the battle. They spent that whole episode setting that up. Also the Brienne moment was fantastic but she's surely gonna die now
  20. While there is still so much to happen, the action is really concentrated in a couple of places now instead of spread out over lots of different storylines. As such I imagine 6 eps will be enough. Interesting start, and as others have said, really fast paced for GoT. Well set up for the rest of the series.
  21. Phew! We were really good given the players that were out. Had it not been for a fairly astonishing keeping performance from O'Leary we'd have scored 4 or 5.
  22. Thank f*** for that! El Ghazi has been great down that left wing this half
