Used to be a near daily thing for me 15 years back. 3 bottles of Stella (for a fiver) at Stoodi Bakers and then back to the office. Never thought it at the time but looking back, it was slightly odd that a nightclub used to be open at midday!

Fair dos. Companies will take the piss out of you, especially if you are the quiet type who won't ruffle feathers. You can either cause a stink or look elsewhere. I'm sure if you went for that job at Hitachi you would have got it, considering they employed your mate who had been on the dole. Get your CV up to date and start looking.

I used to think so but when you've experienced rush hour (well, 3pm - 10pm) in places like Jakarta, Bangkok and Manila, you realise it isn't so bad after all! Those cities are mental.

I think the same. Everything with her seems staged and choreographed, even down to her relationship with Dennis and her affair with Morrissey. She's played a blinder though as with no talent she has managed to stay in showbiz for a number of years

Asia is pretty much nailed on now for November. Looking at starting (and ending) in Bangkok, but open to ideas where to go inbetween. I guess it depends on what flights go out of Bangkok on any given day. Will probably want to chill out somewhere for a bit.

I don't think we will ever see the likes of Ajax be a major force again due to the way the game has gone with the money. You'll never see a Red Star Belgrade, Steaua Bucharest or PSV Eindhoven lift the Champions League. I think Porto under Mourinho were the last team from a small nation to win it in 2003.
