Very true. Most overrated player in our team, for me. Although he does have a pretty tough gig - having to defend and have all our attacking play go through him thanks to our manager’s “tactics”.

Started decently but it’s gone rapidly downhill. Gerrard is clearly the biggest issue but I think a few of these players are much shitter than I thought they were.

Cash just didn’t look like he could be arsed to defend there.

We need to pull the trigger quickly and decisively if our ambitions are indeed as stated. I can see West Ham’s owners getting restless and we want the pick of the available managers. It would be typical if they sack Moyes first and pick up Pochettino.

This is almost as a bad as Arsenal away last season (possibly the most worrying performance I’ve ever seen from Villa). I just hope we sack the manager more quickly this time.

I’m starting to really dislike Digne. Just doesn’t look arsed. Or particularly good a football.

I remember a game against West Ham a couple of seasons ago where they doubled up on Grealish and completely nullified us as a result. Is it too obvious that we should be doing that on Zaha?

We’re just so, so, so weak in the tackle. 50/50s lost everywhere.

Not going to lie, I shed a tear. Just heartbreakingly perfect. I’m going to start watching it again from the start because I miss that world already. That, and anything else will just seem rubbish in comparison.

As much as I’m not a fan of Gerrard, that really wasn’t that bad. Not particularly good but solidly ok. Kamara MOTM. Mings and Buendia also excellent.

I think it’s staggering that anyone has referred to an error by Mings. Unless not being taller is an error. Judged to a completely different standard than anyone else. He’s been really good today.

Was about to absolutely rage at Ings then . Great finish. Excellent ball from McGinn to start the move.

We’re not looking too bad. Mings and Kamara immense. But as soon as we get anywhere near their box, we’re completely clueless. Really trying to force it forward and there’s a disconnect between our front two and the rest of the team.

No Buendia again is just staggering. How can Gerrard “look him in the eye” and tell him he’s not good enough to start?

It would be fitting if she featured in the last episode but I thought this came across as her finale and where they left her was the perfect ending for her, character-wise - completely breaking down after everything that’s happened; letting out everything she’s been holding in. I hope I’m wrong and they’ve figured out a way of including her. Either way, I can’t believe that I predicted a happy little neat and tidy Nebraska reunion! If I had one criticism of this episode it would be that I thought they went a little overboard on the mundanity of Kim’s ‘new’ life.

It hit me watching this episode how much I’m going to miss these characters after next week. I know it’s really weird but I reckon I’ll be genuinely sad. It’s just about overtaken Breaking Bad for me. Greatest TV show ever IMO.

I’m really feel for Mings. The last two Villa managers have both seen fit to drop him for lesser players, as has the England manager. Fans are quick to get on his back when in reality, he’s very, very rarely been anything less solid in his performances, and often excellent. He was amongst the least of the problems with this team and has had countless more great games for us than poor ones. Seems to be held to a much higher standard than those around him. It’s **** weird.

Performances like this can happen in isolation - against a newly promoted side defending for their lives but what concerns me most is that it doesn’t look like a one-off. We’re playing in exactly the same way we did for most of last season. Just so, so static.

Apart from lump into/towards the box. You’d have thought if that was the case, we’d be a bit better at crosses.

I’m less confident/comfortable in amateur diagnosis than I used to be. I also don’t have a clue given the tenderness to the touch, which doesn’t sound great. Sounds like a job for a good physio.

Man, it’s so grim what’s happened to the gym in recent years. Can’t move for Instagram words removed setting up tripods to record themselves doing **** bicep curls. It’s hard enough to motivate myself to train as it is. Really need to start planning the home set up.
