This is reminiscent of a Gerrard performance. Not helped by the fact that Leeds are being allowed to kick the shit out of us. Confident Unai will sort a few things out at half time.

A footballer who seems to have forgotten how to kick a football properly. He hasn’t just missed chances - he hasn’t even connected with the ball properly. I can’t remember seeing anything like it. Probably needs taking out of the firing line for his own good.

The performances seem to be reverting to exactly the same as what we saw at the end of Smith and most of Gerrard. Zero movement for each other. If that’s what we get under a manager of the quality of Emery, then we’re totally, totally ****. Too many of these players are gutless morons who seem to lack the ability to think for themselves and need A LOT of coaching input. Huge, huge job for Unai.

I wouldn’t have booed, but even given recent results and performances, I can understand it given how disturbing that first half was. Some seriously pathetic, half-arsed performances out there. A complete lack of movement. Given who our manager is, that comes down to individuals on the pitch.

I think we’d been winning if Buendia and Bailey hadn’t both been so poor. Both potentially our best player, too.

Our movement has improved massively in the second half. Kind of supports the feeling that most of these players’ default is ‘a bit shit’ and they need a lot of coaching input.

He’s basically ruined watching England play rugby since the World Cup. There was always a bit of a buzz around internationals but I can rarely be bothered watching, these days. He should’ve gone a while ago. No decent coaches want to work with him because he’s such a prick, hence why he’s having to hire league coaches who’ve never worked in union before.

Tom Curry jumping round and punching the air like he’s won the World Cup, when England win a penalty at 27-6 down. Itoje earlier clapping and whooping when a bok dropped a high ball. So embarrassing. Utter bell ends. Saffers are a bunch of horrible shithouses but at least it’s mildly amusing and they back it up. The red card was utterly disgusting, though. Lined up his head and hit it as hard as he could. Absolute word removed. Deserves a long, long ban.

I turned that off at 34-13 because I was bored and the game seemed done. Not gonna lie, that final score is absolutely hilarious.

Thought 1899 was a bit crap. I’m a big fan of Dark so it’s pretty disappointing. They seemed to rely on things that looked cool and intriguing but there wasn’t much a plot to hang them off. I really wanted to see more of Each episode seemed to just consist of enigmatic conversations between underdeveloped characters but just like the setting, I mean, it’s not really bad. It’s just not good, either.

Well **** me. Incredible finish. My last post obviously hasn’t aged well but the way we’ve played in the last ten shows how good we can be. Doesn’t take away from the fact we were not good for the previous 70.

Far from vintage, but still very good, ABs. England still look laboured at best. They remind me of Gerrard’s Villa. So, so dull, with decent players looking like they’ve barely been coached. I’ve also never seen a side shit themselves so frequently when they get within 5m of the opposition try line. Our attack is awful. Please make the World Cup worth watching by getting rid of Jones. He’s just employed another union novice coach because nobody else wants to work with him.

I saw Stewart Lee in a small venue in central London at the weekend. He was quite open about the fact that he was testing the material out ahead of a larger tour but he was really, really good. He doesn’t like Fleabag much

Far from perfect but a really satisfying performance. There’s certainly a lot to work on but the progress is clear - even it’s having an actual plan. The solidify and ability to grind that out was really encouraging and I can’t wait to watch us again on Boxing Day. Kamara MotM

Weighing up whether it was worth a wasted year with Gerrard just to have got him. Short term-ish pain for long term gain.
