  1. That was 100% on Martinez. He was never winning that and Mings couldn’t take any chances. Had to get something on it.
  2. This is nearly up (down?) there with the Arsenal performance. Not just shit but extremely concerning. Similar levels of seeming indifference from some of players.
  3. No shots on target in nearly two halves of football against teams near the bottom of the table. Extremely poor.
  4. There isn’t the pace and movement to our play that there was in Gerrard’s first handful of games. There rarely seems to be a simple progressive pass on. We’ve dropped off considerably.
  5. Perhaps I’m giving him too much benefit of the doubt. I thought he was he was trying to draw it in or knock it up for himself to catch on the run but colliding with the Welsh player prevented that. He certainly made a better attempt at disguising it than LCD! Think just a penalty would’ve been fair. I might need to see the Basham incident again as I had a three year-old climbing on my head at the time but it looked like football VAR official levels of bizarre. I felt like I was watching different replay to what they were describing.
  6. Really good last defensive set from Wales, there. I thought the yellow for Russell was harsh. Seemed to be making a genuine attempt to grab the ball. It was surprising to see that contact with the head with no clear attempt to wrap wasn’t at least a yellow.
  7. That was one of the worst attempts at tackling or getting someone into touch I’ve seen in international rugby there from Rees-Zammit. May as well have just asked him nicely.
  8. And I thought I’d missed football during the break! Atrocious. Typical Villa not being able to muster a shot on target in this half against the team that’s conceded more second half goals than anyone else in the league.
  9. Leeds conceded more second half goals than anyone else in the league, apparently.
  10. Another beauty. Ramsey is one hell of a finisher.
  11. Utterly disgusting from West Ham to have him in the squad, let alone start him. Moyes is a piece of shit for picking him, as are each of his team mates for agreeing to play alongside him. If it were us playing them, I’d gladly celebrate a red for any of our players who would snap the word removed in half.
  12. Fair play, they’ve shown some real flair for losing themselves a game, there. In total control but seemed to stop playing rugby after the try which made it easy for Scotland. All it needed was more of the same from the first half as there’s no way Scotland could’ve kept on making so many tackles.
  13. I was indifferent to Everton before this game. Got pretty much Leeds-level contempt for them, now. Horrible side.
  14. We could easily lose this. Still can’t stitch two decent halves together. At half time, I thought a hiding could be on the cards. We’ve been really sloppy since.
  15. Excellent first half performance IMO. Kept a fired-up side at arm’s length, largely controlled the game and let our superior class show. Fully deserved the lead. This Everton side are nastiest, niggly bunch of words removed we’ve played this season, and their fans are worse.
  16. Copy and pasted from our last game - this ref is absolute shit!
  17. Disappointed to draw that, in the end. If only we could string two decent halves together. Buendia was absolutely unreal. His combination with Coutinho and Chukwuemeka looks really promising. Hopefully see that from the start next game.
  18. Chukwuemeka, Buendia and Coutinho. Hell of a combo. From the start next game, please.
  19. We’ve scored a lot of really fantastic goals this season. Mings is turning into Messi.
  20. Utterly disheartening half. I naively thought we’d be up for this one.
  21. On a completely different level to the rest of the team.
  22. So little movement for each other. Constantly static meaning we have to force passes that aren’t on or hold onto the ball for too long. Can see Buendia’s frustration with it. Given the massive improvement when Gerrard took over, the players clearly have got it in them. It’s starting to make me think that too many of them must be absolute pricks and that Smith might not have been the problem. Seems like they’re throwing Gerrard under the bus in the same way.
  23. Thought we might have been a bit up for this one. So passive and playing without any conviction.
