  1. Opps, double posted
  2. That's pretty much my take on Fallout 3 as well. I should have loved it but I didn't. Everything was "next gen" brown and the game presented no strong hook for me to give a shit about anything that was happening. Fallout 4, at this stage, I have no strong feelings about either way. The splash of colour is welcome I suppose. I'm hoping the combat has been overhauled but that trailer tells us practically nothing beyond setting. An E3 gameplay demo is what I'm waiting really for.
  3. I didn't like the combat at first but it's really clicked now. Once I found its rhythm, dancing and pirouetting around a pack of wolves as you cut them down is really fun. Also, on PC maxed out, it looks incredible. I put two 970s in my machines for it which has allowed me to play the game on Ultra at a solid 60fps looking like this....

    ChromeCast

It's a dubious proxy riddled with adware that is slow as hell. Most commonly used as a Chrome Extension that you turn off and on. Not sure it works with Chromecast at all.

    ChromeCast

The easiest way I know of to do this is to use something like Unblock-us.com and then changing the DNS in your Chromecast (or other devices) to the ones Unblock-us provide (you can also change the DNS in your router too). Then you use their website to select which Netflix region you want to set your devices to. The downside is that its a paid service (although they do have a free 1 month trial). There's probably a free way to do it but for something that just works and is very fast and simple to set up, its not a bad shout.

    Gaming 2015

I picked it up on launch but have put Pillars to one side until Bloodborne is done. I wasn't a massive fan of Divinity - found the combat dull as dishwater and the story unengaging but that all might be down to me playing it in co-op. Pillars looks great though and hopefully it'll be more along the lines of Planescape Torment. And just today, I bought Axiom Verge. Been looking forward to it for ages and it seems its living up to expectations going from reviews. Between that and Ori, I think I'm covered for fantastic Metroidvania titles.

    Bloodborne

Just played for about an hour and honestly, I think I might need to give you a primer over PSN. This is a Souls-ass game to the bone and I'd hate for you to get off on the wrong foot.

    Bloodborne

We have very different perceptions of what's important in a souls game. Personally, I do like the invader mechanic the souls games have but to me, its an occasional event and a distraction that I don't pursue. I've most certainly never felt the need to deliberately invade other players or spec my character for that role. If there was zero PvP in a souls game, it wouldn't bother me because I don't find that particularly appealing reason to play the game. Souls to me is an explorative PvE experience with a unique co-op slant. Horses for courses and all that. I think my digital copy unlocks at 12.00am tonight. Gonna squeeze in an hour or two before bed beckons (work tomorrow - boo!)

    Bloodborne

I'd take that listing with a huge pinch of salt. I mean, they once listed the PS4 Driveclub bundle for PC... http://a.disquscdn.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/1872/1978/original.jpg

    Bloodborne

It would be nice but I can't see it happening. FROM Software had a lot of help from SCE Japan during its production, not just its publishing - Sony want this game to sell PS4s.

    Bloodborne

I don't know the specifics but for those who simply can't wait, it's possible to buy the game from the US store and play it on your UK PSN account today. There's also a PayPal offer on at the moment that'll get you the UK digital version for £39.99. I did that and have pre-loaded already. I'm not fussed waiting as it means I can finish off this Demon's Souls playthrough. So close to finishing it (although I did just piss 50,000 souls up the wall because I'm a tool - **** plague babies.)
  12. It's a metroid game. And yes, if you've any interest, I'd absolutely recommend going in as blind as possible.
  13. I think it deserves all the praise personally. I think Brad Shoemaker does too....GB Quick look below.
  14. Ori and the Blind Forest If you have an Xbox One or a PC capable of running it (and a pad), buy this game immediately.
  15. I don't play the game these days but when I did, I used a slightly tweaked version of the Advanced Controller setup. As for the game itself, it really needs some deeper content.
  16. Same as they have done in the PC version I would imagine. I've played the game with a 360 since launch with zero issues.
  17. The Gold Saucer music drills directly into my nostalgia. I still need to get your character names. I'm Pamyu Pamyu in game. Add meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
  18. It's still outselling it over most of the world so I assume they're not worried. Which I don't understand. It costs more, and I don't see any real feature that would convince someone to purchase the ps4 instead of the xbox one. You'd think that the considerably cheaper console would be the more sought after one especially if they are nearly identical now. One redeeming factor for playstation was that the ps network was free, but they took that away. Why do you really want a PS4?
  19. I'm not sure why The Order got so hyped either. It always looked shit gameplay-wise. The review reception is pretty much on par with what I expected it to get. I'm actually getting pretty sick of these AAA game devs and publishers throwing this crap out the door at us, thinking pretty looks will win us over. It's happened with pretty much every exclusive so far this generation. They've all been dressed up dogshit. The only thing I'm holding out hope for is Bloodborne based entirely on the pedigree behind it and nothing more.
  20. I've just got off the phone from Sky to see if they could offer me anything better than the utterly ridiculous price of £30 per month they're asking for 76mbDN/19mbUP. They said they couldn't do anything, try to convince me I didn't want 76mb then offered me 38mb for £10 for 6 months then £20 after that. As a customer for 15 years, it seems I'm less valued than a new one who would get 38mb for free for 6 months. I declined. So I now have my MAC code and will be looking elsewhere. Currently Plus.net are in the lead as they can give me 76mbDN/19mbUP + weekend/evening calls for £8.75 for 6 months then £20 after that. And their line rental is cheaper. They might have traffic shaping but they'll also save me £338.04 over the 18 month contract. I was with virgin last year who also traffic manage and it wasn't even noticeable. Does anyone here pay the price Sky ask for their 76mb service? It's mental expensive.
  21. ok, guys, how simple can you be? ITS A !&$%ING TOPIC ABOUT PC GAMERS, if your not a PC GAMER, GET YOUR ASS OUT!!!!!!!! Jesus!!!!
  22. I dont like to stress the fact that the PC rocks, but it jus does,So, for all you PC users out there, feel free to come in and post, my PC is a good one, but here is how it goes 1. post message in the room 2. LOOK IT OVER 3. dont report anything, i might get in trouble and 4. Have fun!!!
  23. Good to hear you're enjoying it. What's your character name and I'll add you. I'm also a part of a decent guild too and could see about getting you into that when you're ready. In the meantime, I can invite you to the linkshell (fancy name for chat channel) me and some folk at Rllmuk use. You should also find that most people who play this game aren't toxic arseholes. You're probably flagged as a new player to us all right now (the green leaf next to your name) so when you group or do duties/dungeons, piping up to ask what to do will usually result in a friendly explanation. It's beneficial for them not to be dicks as there is a player commendation system in the game that lets you praise people who impressed you for whatever reason and commendations lead to rewards. Also, if you have access to mumble while you're playing, I'll be happy to jump on to explain other stuff and shoot the breeze.
  24. I recently returned to playing the game (about 3 weeks ago) with a bunch of mates on the Moogle server and love it all over again. It's especially fantastic with a pad - make sure you at least look for an in-depth pad tutorial on youtube as the game doesn't cover everything you can do with it. I play on PC and use a pad exclusively so if you want any tips, I'll happily provide them because it's got loads of hidden functionality. For example, the game will tell you to target enemies with the d-pad. Don't do this, instead while holding L2/R2 down (which activates your crossbar abilities at the same time), tap L1 or R1 to cycle through enemies on screen. A USB keyboard for your PS4 is something you should get though. I also just got myself a New 3DSXL with Monster Hunter 4. Looking forward to getting stuck into that.
