  1. The problem with Cena is exactly the same character being forced down our throat for over a decade. His in ring ability is sub par but he is always portrayed as a super human and his booking has ruined the momentum of many potential stars on the rise (Wyatt was on a meteoric rise until he got put back about 12 months after a feud with Cena). Cena seems like a good guy and he busts his ass for the company, but people are bored and have been for years. The fact their top star gets booed out of the building in 8/10 events is embarrassing but wwe thing they've pulled a master stroke in billing him as a "controversial" "polarising" star. (They haven't). A heel turn could be huge, look what happened with Hogan. Another trick missed by Vince incidentally.
  2. I used to support English clubs in Europe, it used to have more of a sense of supporting your nation. With rules like 3 foreigners etc, United v Bayern for example was another version of England v Germany. Now it's all just gentrified, soulless crap and whilst I tend to hate most of Europe's elite, whose status' are deliberately preserved by UEFA's measures, I am exposed to the English ones and their unbearable fans, so I like to see them get beat.
  3. Sounds like a German wings plane has crashed in the French Alps. 148 on board
  4. Hardly, he has Irish parents. Townsend didn't even have an Irish grand-parent really did he? Must have, aside from acquired citizenship isn't grandparents the minimum requirement to play for a national side?
  5. But 90% of what we have seen from him in the pitch has been impressive, so I don't see that as being a reason. Hutton and Clark fits this philosophy i think, being british players. The players you mention play in positions where we don't really have alot of options. Sanchez haven't really figured much since his arrival. He even subbed in that 16 year old ahead of Gil, which also can be a sign of my theory. But as i said in my earlier post, time will tell what his plans are for Gil and the rest of the team in the future. Says Manager only likes English players, uses a Scot and an Irishman as examples. This made me chuckle, but he did acknowledge they were British players in this quoted post. Conundrum. Clark is as Irish as Andy Townsend.
  6. Sherwood did actually win at Old Trafford last season.
  7. The thing is, with the sports you listed, there is a precedent of them being shown, and mentioned in the news already. Also there is usually British involvement (I know Bale was playing). Where does this end? The goals from AC vs Inter? Dortmund vs Bayern? River Plate vs Bocca Jrs? Yes please!
  8. Thanks for posting that, I was there behind the opposite goal and hadn't got a clue what had happened.
  9. Have you seen Peep Show? Due it's final series this year I believe. Yes, big fan! Been watching for years ... You set the bar high early, I don't think there's any British comedies better.
  10. It's not that he's not starting him, it's that he doesn't even get introduced, no matter what the situation is. Some very useless footballers come of the bench before him.

  12. Someone's got to, there's probably less deserving guys out there.
  13. Battling defeat I reckon. 2-1.

That's what I'll probably be doing. Used to live in West Dids but never used to have the tram connection back then. It's so easy to get to United from there now.
  15. Rey must feel awful. Just seemed like a freak one in a million accident like the Philip Hughes cricket incident.
  16. I may be a cereal amateur but you're a pot noodle amateur. Mmmmm lovely Bombay Bad Boy water.
  17. Disposing of finished cereal. I either end up with a sink full of cereal bits or a bin bag full of milk.
  18. Hard to believe that America is meant to be the secular country according to the constitution whereas Britain's head of state is the supreme governor of the church. Attitudes of the general populace (and politicians) don't suggest that.
  19. http://www.thefa.com/news/the-fa-cup/2015/mar/fa-cup-semi-final-dates-and-times-confirmed-190315 Good news for me. I've had that 2.8 hours later zombie thing booked for ages in Brum on the Saturday.

  21. I have far more respect for SHA fans than Brummie reds.
  22. Not sure if serious. 100% serious I agree it may help the perceived problem but it would be truly awful.
