  1. Youve pretty much left nothing in it for them then... . Jesus get witht he times even if they "changed" the name of the stadium it would still be VILLA PARK to us, the game has evolved, people need to if they want success too. Dont see why anyone would change our name as we have one of the most unique and beautiful names in the game. Colours ive always been sort of touch and go about (Dont like our badge either). West Ham, Burnley, Scunthorpe etc. Obviously I would rather nothing changed and we just got the cash but.....
  2. Leave Gabby alone, I almost can't imagine Villa without him at this point.
  3. Aston Villa are expected to make a January move for for Torino full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio. Sources suggest the 25-year-old defender is high on manager Paul Lambert’s new year’s shopping list. D’Ambrosio’s contact runs out in the summer and he is free to strike an agreement with another club on January 1. The Italian is eager to taste life in the Premier League and Lambert wants to strengthen his defence. Vincenzo Pisacane, the player’s agent, confirmed that he is keen to leave the Serie A club when he said: ‘I’ve read in the newspapers that we are working on his contract renewal, indeed that we are on the right road for that, however, that is not right.’ Villa, meanwhile, will hope that Scotland and former Tottenham and Glasgow Rangers defender Alan Hutton can find new employers when the transfer window re-opens after attempts to move him on failed in the summer. The Midlanders could be busy in the first four weeks of 2014 as they have also been linked with a move for Seattle Sounders striker Clint Dempsey. http://metro.co.uk/2013/11/18/torino-defender-danilo-dambrosio-is-on-aston-villas-january-wishlist-4190779/?
  4. Newcastle and Aston Villa interested in wantaway Tottenham midfielder Dembele TOTTENHAM midfielder Mousa Dembele has expressed his need of a transfer if he is to feature in the World Cup in Brazil next summer, with a host of Premier League sides interested in his services. By: David Wright Published: Sun, November 17, 2013 0Comments Dembele looking for way out [GETTY] The Belgium international has fallen out-of-favour at White Hart Lane since Spurs' defeat to West Ham, starting just two of the last five games and was brought off at half-time in their latest loss against Newcastle. Premier League sides are eager to take advantage of the 26-year-old's situation, with the likes of Newcastle, Aston Villa, Southampton, Cardiff and Swansea interested parties. They will have to fend off Serie A outfit Napoli, with former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez also reportedly keen to lure Dembele away from north London. Dembele looking for Belgium spot in Brazil [GETTY] I can not be satisfied with it, of course, I just want to play as many games. Mousa Dembele Dembele revealed his dissatisfaction of being on the bench to Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblade ahead of Sunday's defeat against the Magpies: "I can not be satisfied with it, of course, I just want to play as many games. "The coach explained that he makes a tactical choice, he wants more defensive players in midfield." Tottenham bought Dembele from Fulham in August 2012 for a fee of £15million and has since made 61 appearances for the club, scoring two goals along the way. Andre Villas-Boas may have to sell Dembele to relieve midfield headache [GETTY] But Dembele fears for his chances of playing in the World Cup as he attempts to beat Marouane Fellaini, Axel Witsel, Eden Hazard, Steven Defour, Nacer Chadli and Kevin De Bruyne to a regular first-team spot. The powerful midfielder will have to play week in, week out to impress Belgium boss Marc Wilmots, and that may mean finding a new club in the January transfer window with competition for creative midfielders at Spurs so high, with the likes of Paulinho, Erik Lamela, Lewis Holtby, Chadli, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Christian Eriksen all fighting for a place.
  5. Unless we get a massive bid for Benteke, I don't see us doing anything until summer. Hopefully we will have finished at least comfortably mid table, get the rest of the high earning deadbeats of the wage bill, and make 1,2, or 3 QUALITY signings. 35- 40 mill for Benteke in January would we take it?
  6. Agreed, would like to see him come into the team more, especially when we have CB and everyone fit, could be quite interesting!
  7. Does look great, but shouldnt the lion on the left also be facing the tunnel? Minor but.
  8. like Man City then Cut it out. That was a blatant smash and grab victory.
  9. Belhanda scored a hat trick the other day.
  10. These are the games we will regret not taking by the horns when we had the chance later in the season.
