    That's the worst bit! It felt like the last 15 minutes were spent in their penalty box. The rest of the game was a shambles, but we really did give it all at the end.

    That's my worry- confidence will drop even more following this game, and we could find ourselves stuck in a hole for the rest of the season.

    At first I thought you were being overly pessimistic, but after some consideration I've realised how losing today would be a truly awful result.

    Going by our recent results, we shouldn't get anything from this. But this is the Villa. Somehow, I can see us really giving it a go and getting something. I guess I just have a good feeling about today.

    I feel like if we stay up this season, we could be a 'two' club by the end of 2014 if we carry on the way PL wants to take us, as I think he's generally got the right idea.

    To be fair most of what Lambert said was encouraging, especially regarding Central midfield and defence. Not having any money to spend, however, is anything but.

    Vlaar returning is excellent news. Hope he'll have a new CB to play alongside before the Bradford second leg.

    Exactly my point. I understand selling to a team far above us (if any would even want Bent) but selling to teams below us could be suicide.

    Why on earth would we sell Bent to a team like Reading? I don't understand that.

    I just hope last night has proven to Randy that investment this month is crucial, if he hasn't already realised. I have generally been optimistic about this season but now I'm not so sure.

    I feel sick. Played pretty well until the goal and have been average since. Still, 45 minutes to turn it around.

    Only fear tonight is conceding early- we've done that far too much lately and doing it again would change the game completely.

    Only concern with drawing is that it would give Bradford something to cling onto going into the second leg. Having said that, this is a tough game so maybe that's asking for too much.

    I would have liked a signing, or at least some more concrete news about one, by now to be honest. Still 25 days left though, so anything could happen.

    Didn't watch it so I won't comment on individual performances. Today was very important to get some stability in the team ahead of Tuesday night and to regain confidence. Coming from behind to win will certainly have had that effect. Glad Bent played, I don't think his days at Villa Park are over yet.

    Would love it to be true, but like everyone else I think it's unlikely.

    Agreed. Lambert is no idiot (unlike some of our previous managers), I'm pretty sure he realises this like we do.
