Have to agree with this. Tonights result has little impact on our survival chances, in the grand scheme of things.
  2. You know what, I'm content. Fergie was never gonna let the chance to win at OT slip away from him. We showed some good fight to not capitulate in the second half, and this hasn't damaged our GD as much as I thought it might. UTV.

What's the ideal result in the Man City game?

They'll have a game in hand after Monday night though.

I guess Norwich were always unlikely to go down, and now there will be less pressure on our game vs them. Slight positive there.

The game he first came to after being diagnosed was Chelsea at home. The last home game this season is Chelsea. Strange coincidence.

Yeah Wigan's fixtures aren't easy by any means, I'll be much more content when they play the games they have in hand.

We can definitely get something at United, they've scored only 1 goal in most of their games recently, and got their second today from a penalty. I reckon Villa will be much improved going forward with Gabby back next week (?).

Disappointed like anyone that Sunderland won. I'm still hopeful of us staying up though. Stoke are on abysmal form, I can't see them getting more points than we do in the remaining games. Norwich must also be looking over their shoulders. Even Newcastle aren't safe yet, and their fixtures don't do much for them. We need to win one of either Norwich or Sunderland, and at least draw the other assuming we get nothing from Chelsea or United- which isn't a certainty at all.

For goodness sake. Still, Newcastle could get sucked in now...

Come on Newcastle, do us a favour...
  14. Just wondering, is there a reason the mock-ups people have created use the old circular badge and Acorns sponsor?
  15. It's more important to win Sunderland or Norwich, because those are relegation rivals. At the same time, winning tomorrow would take some pressure off these games. It's impossible to say.

Yikes. Was feeling optimistic about survival, until I did the BBC predictor. If other teams around us can string a few results together and pick out draws instead of losses, we need to be winning at least two as well as getting some draws to avoid going into the last day with relegation still a possibility. However, given our current form and the teams we have yet to play, I still think we'll do it. You've got to think we'll get some wins from Fulham, Sunderland, and Norwich. And we can't necessarily write off United and Chelsea as losses just yet.

I'd say Newcastle, Norwich, Stoke and Southampton are all in it as well. And we still have to play Norwich and Stoke as well as Sunderland. 4 of our 7 games remaining are against relegation candidates!

3-1 now. If Fulham hold on they'll do us a load of good.
