  1. Seriously, it's got this far and no love for Don?
  2. Could be good but a lot of unknowns. Potential but unproven at PL level. I'd also like to see N'zogbia shipped out and replaced with someone who made correct decisions.
  3. Oh well, they can always console themselves having secured what will be the transfer coup of the window... James Collins.
  4. I lasted less than 15 minutes, total **** shite. When I heard the words "This section is called 'Pandemonium'" I turned it off. Embarrassing. Utter drivel and even worse utterly pretentious drivel. Worse still that word removed McCartney is liable to turn up as well. "Hey Jude" it is then, while all right-thinking members of British society hang their heads in same at the national humiliation we are suffering here.
  5. You'll need to provide a bit more info to get a steer, there are plenty on here who will provide that without resorting to shameful responses that attempt to belittle the questioner. In fact, there is nothing more irritating - disgusting actually - than people with experience sneering at questions from those who are likely rookies. Photography and I.T. are two fields I've seen it happen a lot. So, I would suggest you consider offering the following information: What prior experience do you have? Are you a complete novice looking to buy your first camera? Are you looking to upgrade, if so from what and why do you want to? What can't you get out of your current kit that you'd like to be able to do? Are you looking at an SLR-type with lots of features or something of the "point and shoot" type? Do you know what the subject will be? Family snaps, landscapes, sports, portraits or what? How often will you use it? Do you want to spend £600 on kit that you'll use a few times a year taking snapshots of the dog/kids/Xmas Dinner with the Party Hats? Please, don't tell me you want it because you've agreed to be someone's wedding photographer! Reading between the lines you aren't ready for that yet! :winkold:
  6. So he was in Birmingham and apparently wants to come. A week later he is playing for the team he apparently wants to leave. Haven't exactly fallen over ourselves to get this done, have we? Hey, Ron. Ever been out on a date with a girl, thought things had gone well and ended the evening with a chaste kiss thinking there was plenty of time because she seemed keen and promised to call? Then the lying bitch doesn't. Did it feel like this?
  7. What quotes? "Dunne will not be going anywhere." :winkold:
  8. What deal? We didn't make a deal with them. They breached his contract, he left and we employed him and paid them **** all.
  9. Aye I've had some lovely tucker at the Dilshad. Always Akash on the Pershore Road for me if I'm at home. Lovely small place that doesn't get enough custom. Dunno what I was thinking about Caspian. Never again, mind. Bad chunder that was. Ah, the good old Akash. Bit of an odd one, that. I've never eaten a poor mouthful from there on the many occasions I've dined in but their take aways have been very inconsistent. It's a bit of a problem for me if curry houses give me anything less than excellent if I know they can do it. It only takes a couple of mediocre ones for me to **** them off. Talking of places no getting due custom, did you ever eat at the Plaza Tandoori near the Akash? It was brilliant but never had anyone in there. Me, Witton_Lane and a couple of others would include that as part of our post-match ritual. Pub then Plaza until the fateful evening when we pitched up and it was closed for good. Damn shame.
  10. Yep, stil lexists, and has always been my pick of curry houses in Selly Oak... My particular dose came from Caspian Pizza in Stirchley. Violent cramps and vomiting, and dizziness and nausea for three days after. I've always rated the Dilshad, too. Never had anything other than good food from there. The Caspian, though? What were you thinking? I've driven past it often enough and it invariably evokes the thought "Would I **** as like..."
  11. Another point on that £20m - and I agree it could be spent better, regardless - is was he ever worth that? We know what Liverpool paid, to universal amusement, when his stock was high but then the jokers also spent £20m on Downing. If he wasn't worth £20m back then he has done nothing to warrant being worth it now. Whatever I think of him as a player I really would not want to see the Downing money go back to the dippers. If they want him gone they will obviously take a hit financially but who will spring that money? I suppose the other complicating factor is what is still outstanding on the fee to the barcodes. Assuming it was the standard deal, plop will still have a number of payments to make to them. Wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't about, er, £20m!
  12. You might want to check this out here I went to a corporate thing at the old County Hall a couple of years ago and despite my initial reservations had a great night - as did everyone else. **** knows what it costs, though. Edit: I have no clue why the above shortlink didn't work. Try this http://tinyurl.com/c7gmk98
  13. Yep, some serious case of sandy vaginas going down. All hail King James and his impending triumphant return to the fair land of B6 following his recent slaying of a personal dragon. The medal dragon. He'll also bring a decent bit of the Sand Emperor's gold back with him.
  14. I might find myself a touch surprised by that but certainly wouldn't be disappointed.
  15. It seems to me we paid **** all to get them. I'm pretty sure McNally would have made sure the world knew he'd won if they'd had a penny out of us. Nice of him to help keep our wage bill down for a few weeks.
  16. I agree, let's not over-complicate the likely motive here. There are a few scenarios but they all lead to the same place. He was offered an extension but declined because he reckoned he could do better elsewhere in terms of playing time and/or money. He wasn't offered a new deal by the previous regime so looked elsewhere. What happened next is he didn't get better or acceptable offers before we came back and made him an offer he was prepared to accept. If he declined a previous offer it may well be the case that what he has now accepted is actually no improvement on what he may have originally declined. He has maybe merely found out he wasn't as sought after as he hoped and he'd have found himself at smaller club, likely not in the PL and with a much-reduced income.
  17. That was a lovely bit of play by the Czechs.
  18. Wonderful stuff. No manager - and we had a huge part to play in the fact - no money, no transfers, no hope, no future! Go on Ince, you word removed, you know you want to. Perfect fit. If not him the word removed Francis would do very nicely for me. BCFC, Sordid Past, No Future. I like it.
  19. That he's off to Man City? Yes, I can confirm for you that is true.
  20. QIA aren't fictional. I had to snigger at that fictional tag, it's one of the dumbest things I've ever read on here. Just for clarity, I don't think QIA are buying Randy out and never did. I do, however, believe the possibility that they may buy a stake. Who knows, we may be playing our home games at the Qatar Foundation Stadium. The DE stand may become the al-Thani stand!
