  1. To be fair, a lot tend to be concentrated in a small area so some are grouping together and holding the event at one venue.
  2. Twitter has certainly provided a platform for people to be hostile towards each other in a way that most would never dare in real life. I can't help but feel it's had some part in the outlook of modern folks, and played a role in the shape of politics right now.
  3. By the time she's old enough to appreciate travel there might not be much of it left!
  4. Right on cue, Sunday is Visit My Mosque Day! http://www.visitmymosque.org/ I'm going to take me nipper. The nearest mosque to me is serving up samosas and cake. Yes please!
  5. Whatever happened to peace-loving liberal John Lennon?
  6. It might just be the entire reason Twitter was invented...
  7. This muppet's like a teenage girl, putting all his problems on Twitter...
  8. I've been rocking these bobby dazzlers for about 12 months now. Love them. Can dress them up or down, and they're super lightweight. Win!
  9. Strictly speaking, it's the past tense verb of lead. If I'd said 'he has led the team to victory' it'd be a past participle. Nonetheless, lead wouldn't be appropriate in either case...!
  10. I'd love to be a fly on the wall if Trumpet and Corbyn had a private meeting. What an awkward, stilted conversation that would be.
  11. The Narrow Majority. The Marginal Advantage-Holders. The 52%, An Unkown Proportion Of Whom Were Deceived Into Voting For Something They Now Regret. That last one is a bit of a mouthful, granted, but just something a bit more accurate, and a bit less dramatic, than "The Will Of The People" would be lovely.
  12. The (seemingly) sudden spike in people confusing "lead" with "led". I'm even seeing it in popular media outlets, and have installed the Grammarly extension on Chrome which has even underlined the correct spelling in this post. Led - the past participle of Lead. A design-led organisation. He led the team to victory. Grrrr!
  13. Usually best to head to sortitoutsi.com or somewhere and download a community update.
  14. 12 hours before that picture was taken he was hanging off the back of a hotel room door with an apple in his gob.
  15. I've lived in Germany, Holland and Canada, and within England I've lived in Surrey, St Albans, Stratford-upon-Avon, Birmingham, Cheshire, Manchester and Lancashire. I've met some wonderful people over the years, many of whom have themselves moved on to far-flung places like Cape Town, LA, Nottingham Without FB, I'd have lost contact with lots of people who I really like. It would just be impossible to keep up with their lives if I was reliant on email, phone calls or worse - letters.
  16. If we're looking for bright sides, we'll be able to play Leicester again next season.
  17. I work from home and I'm still embarrassed to walk into the office tomorrow.
  18. At Christmas, my brother-in-law bought me a selection of craft beers. They were nice, but a couple of them looked a bit strong so they've just been sitting there. I'm now sitting here with a pint of beer that's 10% abv. Villa have done this to me.
  19. Probably depends on the 5 figure number written above the dotted line.
  20. When was the last time you enjoyed watching Villa for 90 minutes?
