In the game he played vs Man utd he let Chicharito score a header to win it which he didn't even have to jump for, it was some of the worst marking I've seen from a set-piece. He belongs in the Championship or lower imo.

Aren't both Benteke and Kozac both carrying injuries too but they went to states? I think this shows Tonev is no where near the first team squad. Or that his injury is such that he isn't fit enough to travel or benefit from the trip and is better at BMH. While the other two are returning to training and at a completely different stage of recovering from injury. Yes Benteke is 3 to 4 months off being fit and can just about run/jog but he is better off sitting on a plane for 10 hours so he can jog in Dallas and Tonev who is nursing an injury is better off at home? That makes real sense to me? Where did the nursing an injury come from? All I was suggesting was that as we took other 'injured' players to the US who are obviously considered part of the first team squad so as they can bond and feel part of the squad why not take an injured Tonev? I totally agree taking with taking Benteke and Kozac as being stuck back in BMH would be fairly demoralising. I personally don't think that Tonev is a first team squad player and would put him behind Weimann, Gabby, Cole, the Zog and Gardner in the winger/creative player roles that's all. I am not having a go at Lambo, all managers make mistakes when buying players and this is only one facet of football management, for me there are far more concerning traits to Lambo's management than his record in the transfer market. Nice ball from Bent, bit of a lucky finish. Grealish has been our best player in that half and I was impressed with Givens kicking, he didn't once hit a long punt and was constantly trying to play it on the floor. Just hope Brad can improve his passing and composure in them type of situations. Herd looks crap but I guess it will take him sometime to get back upto speed.

They are in recovery, Tonev could of injured himself in the match the other night or just before we left for the States and has to stay behind to get an operation or some other treatment.

So the manager says Tonev has been left at home because he is nursing an injury but people still act like they know better than the manager just to prove a point rather than dealing with facts....

Is Westwood playing at centre back?

It makes sense to keep him and have a look at him in preseason. If he isn't upto it we can try and sell him before September but if it does work out he can challenge with Lowton for RB which will mean Bacuna can be used more as a midfielder than last season and still be a back up option at full back if needed.

Has your friend been itk about past transfers? How would he know wether we are after Ki or not?
