We are just treating this as a training session and getting some practice at holding our shape, that's the best I can come up with. I wish that machine in Total Recall was real, then I could erase my memory and head to Mars for a few weeks and get far away from all things Villa for a while.

I really don't understand why we would fly over on the morning of the game. It says to me that we aren't taking this game serious and the players probably think the same. Groningen are way fitter than us but that's no excuse for how shit our backline has been.

Delph gave the ball away. I wouldn't blame Given for the second goal, it was a perfect strike. These already played a couple of games in the uefa cup qualifiers so should be well ahead with their fitness, it'll be a good test win or lose.

I'd imagine that's pretty close to our team to the first game of the season with the exception of maybe Zog and Okore who might start and Goose should start also.

I'm basing it on what I've seen from them through out there carreers, Lowton is too slow and is a liability, he is decent going forward but that doesn't make up for how slow he is and the amount of chances the opposition gets due to his errors. Hutton has alot more experience at this level and at international level and whilst I'm not convinced he is the perfect RB for us , I am convinced that he is a better option than Lowton.

It looks like this leak has come from Wolves so the 5m price tag must of been leaked by them also. They are most likely just trying to drum up interest in him and using our good name as we could potentially be looking for a CB if we lose Ron.

Well 5m would probably be the top of our price range to replace vlaar if he is sold so once again lambert will be trying to get players in on the cheap. Can't think of too many quality centre backs that we would be able to get for 5m. Let's just hope we offer Ron a good contract and he signs it.

Hutton wasn't allowed past the half way line in his one and only season with us. He played under a dinosaur with the worst tactics I've ever seen from a manager. I've seen Hutton put in plenty of good displays over the years and he can defend alot better than Lowton. at this moment in time he is a better option than Lowton.
