  1. He's superb, no question. We've got and had some very good players, but I can't remember one who had such strong mental AND technical ability. Doug is up there too for that IMO.
  2. Very brief cameo but he gave us exactly what Emery wanted from him - energy and tenacity to help see the game out.
  3. One thing I've noticed about him is that by skinning the players trying to press him early doors, he actually makes them stand off because they don't want to look stupid getting done by a centre back
  4. Great goals today and unlucky not to have had an assist for Moreno's disallowed goal. Was lucky that idiot Diop didn't break his foot either with that stamp in the first half.
  5. You take your hands off me
  6. Sink or Tim, you might say
  7. Hell no, he was the one who forced Gerrard on us.
  8. Is he having surgery? If so, is it technically a Boub-job?
  9. It goes that way because you don't address any of the points refuting your objectively wrong claims.
  10. Nah, I think that's you tbh. I've provided an argument to support my claims, you haven't.
  11. He's been here 2 and a half years. The first year was stop/start with injuries, managerial change and he never found any form - nobody is arguing that he played well then. Since Emery came in, which is what, 18 months? He's been good, was improving and this season excellent. It's wrong to say that the majority of the time he's been here he's been 'pretty poor' - it's just demonstrably untrue. I really don't understand why you have such a hard time admitting that you might have been wrong about a player. There is no shame in that. Doubling down, however, doesn't reflect well at all.
  12. Longer than that. He was our player of the month in November 2022.
  13. No he hasn't, that's bollocks. The majority of his time here has been spent under Unai Emery and he's been decent and then excellent since. His first year at the club was marred by injury, adapting to the league and having Steven **** Gerrard as manager. The 18 months or so since have been very good.

    Matty Cash

This, really. Cash ideally needs to be playing for a high-tempo team where he doesn't need to be in possession all that often because that's the weakest part of his game - concentration, composure etc.
  15. He also called VVD the best CB in the league (I think this was the same sentence) - showing he's a bit out of touch.
  16. Surely if you're putting together a spreadsheet like that, you should be focusing on more than just opinions. Players out of contract would be definite outs, for example.
  17. You've put Carlos on there too but he's never been linked away There's never been anything substantive linking Luiz away.
  18. Don't know why you're so insistent to put him on your spreadsheet. Don't see it happening and don't think anyone wants it to.
  19. Yeah it's not a big deal to us, but it probably will be to him - the debut goal is always a dream and he had the opportunity
  20. He'll be up all night thinking about that chance wanting to have it back. It was the tiniest bit behind where he needed it to be but that's the way it goes. Great run to get there, as detailed above.
  21. I've got a good feeling about this transfer.
  22. They find them, then everyone else nicks them and turns them into good players
  23. Meanwhile, our Youth Recruitment Team get to work finding players... the only way they know how...
  24. So why were you so pleased to see another Australian sign for us if it has absolutely no impact whatsoever on your perception of players?
