  1. All jokes aside, I assume there's a clearer path for him to get to the first team there? He's got Sinisalo and Marschall ahead of him here straight away (I'm excluding Olsen as his contract expires this summer I believe).
  2. Interesting that the rumours about him moving haven't materialised in anything yet, plus we're letting Dendoncker go to Napoli. It'd be a risk but maybe Emery has seen something he likes.
  3. Exactly mate #giveadamachance!
  4. I initially skimmed that and saw 'Epstein' instead for a nano-second
  5. Is this what you say down the pub when you compare yourself to Messi?
  6. There's a massive amount of ground between Mark Delaney and Gareth Bale
  7. Hopefully he's better tbh.
  8. You can use either from a purely grammatical standpoint but British English tends to favour 'are'.
  9. I definitely agree that the athleticism is very important but for me, the mental part of the game - as you mentioned with Rogers vs. JPB - is the real difference maker. Decision-making, composure and concentration are absolutely vital, especially with the way Emery plays.
  10. 100% - they seem to focus on what's missing rather than the foundation he has to build his game on but then not everyone has an eye for potential. Duran could be an unreal player.
  11. Teddy Rowe sounds like an aisle at Toys R Us
  12. It's the ceiling - he has a bit of everything about him, including great physical attributes, and if you can develop a player like that, you're laughing.
  13. I had this thought too but couldn't think of the right character to attribute it to
  14. If you ask me, it's pretty silly to be bothered about where players come from if they're good enough.
  15. Very sinister if you ask me #highbrowhumourfridays
  16. No, but I wouldn't have a negative feeling either - much like this potential Rogers signing, you'd point to the good judgement of Emery and the team and hope he can grow into the standard we need.
  17. Yeah could be, who knows? Interesting links in any case.
  18. Valentini, a left-footed CB, would presumably be the replacement for Lenglet. A lot of interesting links all of a sudden.
  19. He's not going to say 'he's a useless shite that boy' now, is he?
  20. There had to be a reason why he didn't play much and in the times we did see him, he was all over the place positionally IMO. Emery is an expert on spotting a player he can work with a develop and Sanson obviously did not feature in that category.
