I see a class player who though not the finished article yet, has massive potential and will realise it quicker against better opposition and with better players around him. The QPR fans I know rave about him too. Like I said, not ready to start games in the Premier League regularly perhaps, but to take his place in the squad? Yeah, I think so.

He's too good for the Championship. If we don't use him, we'll lose him. He doesn't have to start games yet but its time to bring him into the squad full time.

Having seen Konsa play right back before, he's either a centre half or nothing. We definitely need a right back in my opinion.

He could and should have a squad place next year. We need 4 players for those two positions over a season. Especially with cups / Europe.

By my reckoning we need (in terms of priority): Right back. (Starter, Cash and KKH can compete.) Foyth / Fresneda Winger / Forward. (Starter. Bailey, Traore and JPB / A Ramsey can compete.) Mitoma / Nico Williams / M Thuram Striker. (Properly challenge Watkins. Duran and Archer as back up.) David / Dembele / Hlozek Centre half. (Pick form pair out of Konsa, Mings, Carlos and new guy.) Torres / errr.... Gvardiol? Playmaking CM /AMC.(A real top darts signing. Sits in front of two from Kamara, Douglas, Tim and new guy. Competes with Buendia, McGinn and JJ.) Kamada / Guendouzi / Mount Central holding / box-box midfielder. (Essentially replaces Dendoncker in the squad. Competes with Kamara, Douglas and Tim.) Laimer / Schlager / Sangare / Koopmeiners Backup Keeper. (Watches Emi doing Emi things from the bench but is much better than Olsen). **** knows. Yes, that's 7 players but with outgoings, not unreasonable. Hopefully we'll be in Europe and so need a bigger squad. Added some suggestions but probably some optimistic ones in there. I don't care. We have dosh.

I'd like nothing more than Ollie to be be the best version of himself for an entire season and scoring 20 goals or more. I just think its risky not to get a genuine challenger for the spot and I think Emery might too. We definitely need one more senior striker and I hope Ollie rises to the challenge.

Watkins is a difficult one to fully judge at the moment. Harsh perhaps, but he misses too many easy 1 on 1s. But his overall game in the kind of form is great, and as a lone striker he works his arse off and causes so many problems. Do we get another top guy in or not?

Fair enough. He's certainly no CM. I wouldn't call him versatile either as his defensive game is poor. He's an attacking mid or nothing. Not a winger but with license to play infront of the CMs he could be useful. For the money he'd cost us there is absolutely better value to be had abroad though.

Declan Rice is much better at his job than Mount is. Mount is the 20s version of Downing. Decent, occasionally spectacular, but mostly average. If we could get him for a decent price I'd say yes, but we wouldn't because he's English and overrated. We'd be quoted £60m and he's a £25m tops. Better value to be had elsewhere.

There's been some mad coincidences in recent times where strikers I've signed in Fifa career mode for Villa have ended up playing for us in real life. Who did I sign in Fifa 23? Victor Osimhen... But yeah, Alvarez would do nicely.

I agree that he isn't better than Bailey. But he can do things Bailey can't and vice versa. They're both not as consistent as they could be and have until May to earn the trust of Emery. Could be fun watching it unfold though.
