  1. I think anyone and everyone is for sale. I think our team strength of lack of it for next season only seems to be a concern for us fans. It's so sad that our great football club has apparently sunk so low so quickly.
  2. I hope we can. I hate the idea of the club's with money circling around us and taking advantage of our financial situation by making bids that are significantly below Jack's market value. They should be ashamed of themselves but will instead be laughing at us and congratulating themselves on robbing us of a few million that is just chump change for them but is vital to our future as a football club.
  3. If Jack must go, I don't want us to be taken to the cleaners by Levy or by anyone else over the fee. We may need the money but he is our most saleable playing asset so we must make sure we don't sell off the family silver for the price of stainless steel or we may be needing money again in a couple of months but have nobody left to sell that anyone else wants.
  4. The Birmingham Mail has a report that we are looking at Trent Sainsbury. Looks decent in the Aussie games to date but I assume his value is increasing with each game and that he is by now outside our price range if we currently have any sort of price range that is.
  5. Agreed but he might also run the risk of sitting on a bench more often than he would like.
  6. I decided on a snake free team : Johnstone, Walker, Chester, Cahil, Bertrand, Milner, Gueye, Grealish, Young, Benteke & Kodjia Subs: Carson, Amavi, Jedinak, Traore, Johnson, Snodgrass & Ayew.
  7. I would still expect that to be our initial aim no matter how unlikely that might seem "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars".
  8. A great shout. I'm sure he could do a job in the centre of our defence and he looked very comfortable playing there all those years ago. The only question is would be accept such a big cut in his wages to return home? If so, it's a taxi back to Villa Park for Mr Barry for me!
  9. We got 9 points from the promoted teams and 18 from the relegated clubs. Deduct those 27 points from our total points for last season (72) gives us 45 points.
  10. I don't think there will be more than a couple of points between us and Forest next season. I was thinking we would both be mid table but would be more than happy with it being at the top of the table that Forest finish as you suggest. If that is alongside us then we will both be proved right.
  11. Hull game is live on SKY Monday night 6/8.
  12. To Hull in a handcart then?
  13. I rather like it. I hope to see Jack wearing it next season as well.
  14. For some reason we have played them at Christmas/New Year quite often. Of our 24 league meetings to date 7 of them have taken place then on 26/12/14 (a), 28/12/13 (h), 1/1/13 (a), 2/1/12 (h), 27/12/71 (a), 2/1/60 (a) & 26/12/36 (h). This will make it 8 in 26.
  15. The club was floated on the LSE in 1996. He bought up a lot of shares including those of fans that had small holdings of shares from 1968 onwards and then Randy bought up the rest so that the club was owned solely by him after HDE sold his shares to him.
  16. I wonder if Tony has considered making a PPI claim in respect of his loans? It might just resolve our short term financial crisis (at least that's what those numerous texts and telephone calls suggest).
  17. Two million £50 shares would give us some money in the bank but would those shares be for less than 50% of the club? If so, it won't seem too attractive a proposition for potential investors.
  18. Not happy with playing Bunn in goal. How about playing Hutton there?
  19. Hope it's a sign that we told Levy what to do with his bid and anyone else that came sniffing around wanting to make a similarly deriosory bid for our best player in the assumption that we were so desperate for any sort of money that we would accept their insulting bid.
  20. Agreed. I very much doubt that he would join us for 10k a week as well. We will always have our memories of players like Milner, Young, Benteke and Gareth who left us for honours elsewhere and/or to swell their wallets but we won't be getting them back.
  21. John

    Mile Jedinak

I agree, if we are able to keep Chester.
  22. He hasn't been anywhere near the player he was at Bournemouth and a move would be good for him and would make financial sense for us without having the sort of impact on our playing strength that some other potential player exits would.
  23. Likely they will consider taking the cameras to Yeovil in anticipation of a giant killing if they still see us as giants. I wonder if we will make a number of changes from our normal first choice line up (assuming we have enough players in the squad to still be able to do that)?
