  1. No I think I got that mixed up.Sorry folks.?
  2. I just have my doubts which I hope will be proved unfounded. Jed looked good for Huddersfield and decent when he played for us prior to picking up injuries that kept him out of contention for much of the last two seasons. I just hope he can now shake off those injury problems and get back to the form he showed a couple of years ago.
  3. I can accept that he may have represented a cheap option if he has accepted another contract on low wages with a small signing on fee. I am just concerned that we might have used our meagre cash resources elsewhere and I am not sure he is a better option than 19 years old Sarkic who we have loaned to Wigan.
  4. He's one of our own who has looked ok playing elsewhere in our current division and might now get another opportunity to do the same with us. He also has an "atomic strike" and who could forget that header at Small Heath and his celebrations?
  5. I will have a shot at revealing the sauce in question. It's Heinz, Daddies or HP isn't it?
  6. Not over happy with either Steer or Bunn and I don't see the reason to have offered a new contract to Bunn in our present cash strapped situation if we have done so.
  7. You can always rely on the EFL. They are now going to talk about closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.
  8. Would be shocked but not displeased in our present dire situation if a deal was on the verge of being done. Takeovers normally take more than a coupe of days to be done though. What about looking at the accounts and due diligence or have we destroyed our Russian computers and the records that were on them? That's not forgetting the extensive fit and proper persons tests that the EFL will again say that they need to carry out before agreeing a deal (I suspect that involves tossing a two headed coin for a number of days in case a tail comes up).
  9. I didn't know Sheffield Wednesday were on the verge of panicking. Perhaps they are coming out in sympathy with us?
  10. Well done on that. Have had a ST myself since they first introduced standing ones for the Holte End (in the late 70's I think). I know where you are coming from but that enthusiasm will be back for the first home game or failing that for the first home win (sometime in October perhaps?)
  11. Lewis Baker has signed for Leeds from Chelsea on loan today whilst we are forced to sit on our hands and do nothing.
  12. Doing an outstanding job then. Pushing employees towards the exit door and with no club finances left to worry herself about.
  13. I think if one of us did it the club would struggle to pay us the money back (not that I'm suggesting that any of us should do so)!
  14. Clubs with ambition and money which precludes us.
  15. Looks like he was dressed to impress for the flight (cap and all). He may find Washington a little different to Liverpool.
  16. Oh for the days when FFP was our major worry. Now I suppose that would still prevent a new owner coming in and trying to fix things on and off the pitch as he might want to.
  17. Yes, I would very much like to see some given an opportunity during this season (we seem to have little choice) but they have to be introduced gradually, not all at once, not without some more experienced players playing alongside them and not with the pressure of knowing that if they fail to hit the ground running or go off the boil after a run of games they may face the blame for our poor results (not that I think that our fans would put the blame on them).
  18. If our owner is willing to sell part all of the club how can he realistically expect to get exactly back what he paid for the club given its present situation both financially and football wise?
  19. We once said "at least we're not Leeds" Everyone will now be saying "at least we're not Villa." I know it's in the Mirror but I'm sure we've all been thinking that players will be leaving with nobody coming in to replace them at Villa Park during this window. A little light at the end of the tunnel would be welcome sadly it's an express train coming in the opposite direction towards us.
  20. I wonder if he thought (as may well prove to be the case) that he would not be allowed to replace players we released and sold with even free transfer or loan signings because we couldn't add any more names to our wage bill?
  21. I think he may have to play everywhere unless someone makes an offer for him. I think he has the potential to be grate when he matures and to make some good forward runs.
  22. Sadly I doubt we are able to sign anyone let alone someone who would expect to be paid for playing for us or whose club would anticipate receiving any fee.
  23. Once there would have been no contest if we had wanted the player.
  24. Boro sign Flint. Looks like they are taking a chance like we did on a second season promotion. With Gibson still pulling the strings I doubt that they will be in our situation in 12 months of their gamble does not pay off.
