Now that Kozak is out for the rest of the season, if Lambert decides to go for another striker on loan, anyone think he might go for Kenwyne Jones, or Bafetimbi Gomis? We were linked with both these players last year. Definitely need an attacking midfield player before we sign any strikers tho IMO.

Goodness, Defour looks half decent, i wonder who first choice is.. Someone cheaper I'd imagine. Four assists and two goals in 17 appearances this season is embarrassing for a so called number 10, I'd rather have Tom Ince tbh. He got 4 Goals and 11 assists in the whole of last season, so to get 2 goals and 4 assists in a team 2nd bottom of the league who also haven't won a game yet shows the player has ability. Maybe he's already got his heart set on a move and that's factored in on his performances?

It's an interesting link. I know there's been talk of him wanting to make a move to MLS in the near future, as he owns a house in Los Angeles. Perhaps a short-term deal with a Premiership club would give him the opportunity to play at a high level prior to the World Cup and then move on afterward. If he does come here, let me warn you--as an American who has seen plenty of him over the past couple of years--that although he's a very good player, he can also be an infuriating player. You never know whether he's going to be a steady presence in the midfield or a reckless and ill-disciplined liability. If Michael Bradley is the reliable standby in the American midfield, Jones is the wildcard. I have no idea which aspect he'd bring to Villa.

If it's possible AT ALL, then we have to buy Defour. Let him recapture his form here and hopefully book him a place in the national side for the World Cup. Benteke could probably have a word!

^ Not if you do your physio correctly and work hard for your comeback. There's 'always' a chance, but in today's times it's a different story. The medical support these players get is so advanced now days, so that those 'chances' are very minimal.

I think it may be that we want to start quickly, so we expose ourselves at the back when we're pushed up? Or it's just a lack of concentration, and our defenders don't position themselves correctly because they don't know what to expect.....but that can't be right because the team probably analyses what the opposition is going to do during match preparation. Maybe we need to let the opposition to score so that the team gets the kick up the arse they need to get themselves into gear. No wonder we've rescued points from losing positions this season.
