This is what we should be doing with all our young hopefuls. Much better for their development than playing for the U-21's. Absolutely agree with this. Loaning players out is one of the things I've been saying we should do more of for years! Indeed, I always hoping that one goes on loan to Cheltenham Town as I go watch them a fair bit.... hasn't happened yet though They get a fair few on loan each season as well.... recent ones include Jack Buttland who pretty much kickstarted his career at Chelt and has been back a few times since. Also had Luke Garbutt (LB from Everton) who was decent but has been sent on loan again as he's obviously got Baines to compete with! Also had Shaun Harrod on loan from Reading last season but he wasn't the best striker I've ever seen put it that way haha probably why he got loaned out at the age of 28.

Exactly, so why send him to Ipswich in the first place ? To be fair he did get a couple of games and wasn't there long! Also, I can only assume Ipswich were in contact with Villa and someone at Villa has said he's good enough for that league but wasn't quite there yet in reality.... A bit of League 1 experience shouldn't do any harm though and should make him a better player

Straight swap for Ince I say haha. I think we could of got a deal there to be honest, think they letting him go for 4m so could of offer 3+ the fonz or even 3.5. Don't think Lambert's going to play him again so best to sell him now before his contract ends.

Seen un-sly away fans in every stand except the Holte End.... earlier this season in the league cup game against Tottenham there was a group of them in the Doug Ellis..... they were quiet until it was about 3-0 and everyone around them left so they piped up.... tossers. In last seasons PL match against Liverpool I was in the North Stand upper and there was loads of Liverpool fans up there and a couple of fights broke out during the game with a few people being taken away by the fuzz. Even funnier was the league cup game against Rotherham, I was in the Trinity and could see a group of Rotherham fans started fighting with each other in the North Upper and started being removed by police haha.

Been linked with West Ham aswell so sounds like he may be on his way out of Southampton! Got experience in lower leagues too which is what seems to tick PL's must have boxes lol.

I try and go to the cup games more so than league games.....unfortunately (well quite fortunate actually) couldn't make it yesterday! Went to both the league cup games and they were some of the lowest attendances I've seen at VP. Disappointed that we got knocked out and PL doesn't give a poop as it's something I feel we always have an outside chance of winning....like Wigan last year etc.
