    Yea they wouldn't bother with a scan if he was only going to be out for 7 days. I secretly hope he tweets he is fine and he'll be fit as a fiddle.

    Every time i see on twitter some sports account tweet: "Benteke Blow for Villa" and then an external link, I nearly have a friggen heart attack. Only to go on to read its just that he's going to miss the Spurs cup game. Fingers crossed big Ben - a bit of luck with injuries would be nice for a change!

    He just tweeted a picture of him walking without crutches. Good news but hope he doesn't rush it. I'm sure his doctor has said he can start to walk without crutches though.

    Pretty annoying if you're put on the bench and are told you aren't going to feature at all. Seems a bit odd to me.

    He definitely should be 100% before we play him again. However, there was a rumour going round he played with a slight groin injury in our run in of games last season. He powered through to keep us up.

    Yea he's way more likely to get game time here in the premier league. United/Arsenal would just have him in the reserves like a ridiculous number of players they have signed who are young.

    I still think you're missing the point here. 1.) No one is making people stand it will always be a personal CHOICE 2.) No one is saying people standing is going to fill the stadium, however, it is widely proven that when you're standing up you're more likely to start singing and chanting (You'll know this if you've been to a Villa away game) 3.) Hillsborough is irrelevant, we're not going back to terraces. Terraces were dangerous. This is called SAFE-standing for a reason.

    Even a 2nd string Spurs team isn't a team to be taken lightly. Think of the quality they can bring off the bench as well. I wouldn't fancy trying to face a fresh Paulinho after having played for 70 minutes. I still think this could be a late heart breaker.

    He has been poor the past 2 seasons but he's been injured. But if Lambert has him on the bench then he definitely see's something. Injuries have definitely stunted his development as a player, so hopefully he gets some game time and takes his chance to prove himself again under PL
