  1. so where does this leave the club? a 30+ yr old striker who doesnt know where the goals are, his shorts have seen more of the pitch than his boots have, hes on a stupid amount of money, hes worth nothing, nobody is going to want him, what do we do with him?
  2. youre either twisting what im saying (common on here) or youre not understanding lets be realistic, £60k per week, probably the clubs highest earner, dont you think he should be doing more than falling on his ar$e? for that amount we should be expecting goals, obviously me saying a hatrick was an over exaggeration, but even still, we should expect goals from a striker earning £60k per week... simple
  3. does anybody have an idea of what shirt number he will get?
  4. never got why people would support small heath and wba when theres a much better club in birmingham sorry, couldnt think of anything else at the moment although im sure theres loads
  5. considering this club is trying to cut the wage bill, £60k a week to a striker that isnt doing his job properly is bang out of order, dont you agree? its alot of money to do nothing, obviously the club are to blame to offer it him in the first place, but theyve offered it him for a reason, so he should do whats expected of him strikers like heskey who are inconsistant and useless should be on a score as you earn contract, no goals, no wages, simple
  6. why do people try it with keepers? they need to realize that keepers arent the same as the whoosy pri madonna outfield players does anyone remember when a few small heathean tried it on with postma in solihull?
  7. he needs to be dropped to the bench behind cuellar or sold with a better defender brought in ive said it before, would probably never happen, but i rate robert huth, he would be so much better
  8. for £60k per week we should be expecting a hatrick every game it takes me 5 years to earn what he earns in one week, and i work 55 hr weeks nonstop with no lunchbreaks to provide for my family, and even i could do what heskey does, but would still probably do a better job of it what a joke!
  9. in all fairness, considering we kept a clean a clean sheet, we cant moan about the defense, even though collins played its the attacking that was non existant, whether bent, or gabby, or both are out, we do not need heskey at all in any way, shape or form, ye he might have 1 shot or 2 on or off target, but strikers are paid to shoot, its just that he cant score at the end of it with only bent or gabby, just play 2 attacking midfielders behind him, petrov/ireland/bannan/gardner this alone would be more constructive than playing heskey
  10. i really want him to sign, now is his chance to prove hes worth a start ahead of given, he needs to push given out i really hope he signs a new contract does anybody know how long given is out?
  11. has anybody told heskey that strikers are meant to score goals?
  12. im embarrassed that we have heskey on our books, small heatheans are laughing at us why did we sign him again?
  13. houllier didnt help his cause by mentioning liverpool all the time
  14. regardless of who the manager is or our league position, the chairman should be crossing the managers hand with a briefcase of money, we all know that if you dont spend, you go backwards, spend a little will keep you stale, spending alot will progress imo, id say £15m-£20m in jan windows and £20m-£30m in the summer windows (hope randy doesnt have a heart attack reading this)
  15. agree with the above, he might be 'an ok guy' but his managerial skills arent very good, championship manager at best unfortunately RL probably didnt see this at the time, maybe he is now? i wonder how this team we have here would do under a different manager? nevertheless, hes here now, lets hope he doesnt make any more mistakes
  16. why did we let carew go? would of prefered to keep him than have heskey here a minute longer
  17. i cant tell if thats a wind up, ive just gone onto the ctfc website and theres no mention of him
  18. hes been a good servant over the past few years, sometimes his performances cant be questioned, but money is money, and business is business, we paid £8m for him, he will be worth nothing when he retires, will the club want to recoup anything? maybe sell at the end of this season or end of next? its a sorry situation, but he cant go forever (unfortunately) is gardner the next petrov?
  19. that name again, ethan moore, who is he? lol our youngsters seem to fail when smoke is blown up their a$$, they get too hype up and have too much expectations put on them, if given too many games, they burn out, if not given enough, they dont cut the grade, middle ground seems difficult to find
  20. a question which hasnt been asked hes in his 30s now, do we keep him till he cant go anymore and retires, or do we sell him soonish whilst we still can and get a mil or so for him? to which, ireland will probably be his replacement
  21. look at what we done this season, loaned out makoun whilst not been given a change, loaned in jenas who was injured for most of the time he was here, and i bet villa rolled over and paid full for janas, and most, if not all for makouns wages whilst not being with us, now i dont know the full story of both situations, but im guessing im close to right? we didnt need jenas when we should of used makoun loans should be for emergencies only to which the club has to submit a request to the FA about needing cover, ie, 2 injured goalies and need another, or no fit strikers, etc just to add, we should never of signed beye if we had no intention of using him, its a waste of money and hindered yet another players career, good move villa
  22. /\ was just about to say that, he was in his 30s in still in form, a bit like sherringham and phillips, although i thought he was 33 when we signed him, my bad
  23. for me, im not keen on xmas, but i do love xmas songs, theyre just full of love and togetherness, which is what xmas should all be about, although i cant stand anything by cliff richard i like the snowman animation, have done since i was a child, the song to that, were walking in the air also, bing cosby and david bowie, little drummer boy is a nice song
  24. its a bit unfair really all round, including clubs in the same league, if they cant financially support an action, then they shouldnt sanction it, a team should pay all wages for the period in which theyve loaned the player
