thing is, he hasnt even proved himself to have the attitude of being a billy big bollocks. ah well, cash in, make a profit.

shame he wants to go, but lets be honest, did he ever seem like a player that belongs at villa? despite only paying £7m, we shouldnt accept anything in single figures, and this now leaves our right side extremely weak, were going to need a first choice right back and right winger now
  3. can a rumours list also be added at the bottom until they are confirmed? costel pantilimon - goalkeeper amadou diawara - defensive midfielder jordan mutch - central midfielder ravel morrison - attacking midfielder abel hernandez - striker patrick bamford - striker bas dost - striker didier drogba - striker
  4. providing we can get the majority of our targets in this window, we should be fine, at the moment promotion certainly isnt looking promising, de laet, jadinak, morrison or diawara, bamford or hernandez would look great on paper, just hope it looks good on the pitch.
  5. if the club can sign chester, de laet and jedinak this week, then were half way there, would still need another midfeilder and striker.
  6. i think it would be unfair to put hutton back in the bomb squad, ye hes very limited, which is a major downside, but he has always given effort and his attitude has been fine, hes never once shown any disregard to the club or fans.
  7. i dont rate him at all, hes awful, i wouldnt have him in the starting 11 even if the club only had 11 players.

typical, i was just starting to like the lad. (i would do the joke about how gabby is my favourite player, but its already been done!)
  9. joel ekstrand been released by watford, does anybody know how good he is?
  10. im happy to see all these articles of our not so good players moving on, but i cant help feel that we really should replace like for like (but better), theres alot more games this season, we need a big squad.
  11. regarding centre back, 2 of the 5 need to go, richards and lescott, only elphick, okore and baker will be useful, but we still need another and to promote either lyons-foster or toner, or both. right back, we need another right back, has the de laet deal fizzled out? centre mid, yip. up front, theres a douzen strikers i would of picked ahead of mccormack, but gabby we are stuck with but should never play again, kozak just needs to move on for the sake of his career, so we still need another striker, someone who wont be drawing their pension in a few years ideally.
  12. its alot of money for a 29 yr old, but whatever works i guess.
  13. its difficult to support any players who have made it known that they dont want to be here. and if anyone thinks that some players want to stay to help get us back up after the mess theyve caused in getting us relegated are mad, footballers dont care, they just care about money but saying that, i wonder if a league 1 club came in and offered double money (obviously this could never happen) to one of our players, they would take it.
  14. i think we need to face facts, were stuck with him till his contract runs out, nobody in their right mind would sign him, even if any offer was made, he would clearly refuse it, hes obviously happy raking in the money that he is an never playing again, his child maintenance must be bloody high, hes got it cushy here. i used to like him, now i bloody hate him, finally hes proved to be a fake.
  15. something my boss said to me a few days ago whilst we was talking about the night shift controller whos handed in his resignation but wants to withdraw it "sometimes people just need to move on"
  16. has he done anything impressive? appears to be another player who thinks hes better than what he is. wouldnt miss him if he went
  17. well we are letting guzan go for nothing, and he has more use than richards, so letting richards go for free shouldnt be a problem
  18. even though we all have to accept that stan wont be getting a contract for numerous reasons, i would still like to see proof to back the comment made a few times in this thread that the club cant afford it, because the way im seeing this, weve just acquired a new chairman who is richer than the previous chairman, taking into consideration as well that under the previous regime, half the first team squad was on stupidly high wages and considered deadwood and hardly got played, so having a dedicated player on the books whos prepared to play for villa for free for the occassional 15, 20 minutes here and there, cant do any harm at all. and as mentioned many times on this thread, he is also a fantastic person to have around the dressing room.
  19. if its true that middlesvilla want him, then they wont mind paying for his services surely
  20. theres no mention as to why he isnt being offered a playing contract, could part of it be the club having difficulties insuring him due to the fact that hes had an illness?
  21. surely villa could of asked for a small fee, after all, every player, no matter how shite, have a value, again why do villa give away our players, ok, on this occassion its in everyones interest, more so villa, but still, everything has a price when somebody wants it. this aside, as some have already said, its time for a fresh start, hes been loyal, but hes also been shite at times.
  22. another player that the fans will put on a pedal stool, blow smoke up his ass until he gets big headed and stops making an effort and then thinks hes too good for this club...
  23. its not a case of spending it for the sake of it, its a case of it needing to be spent to fix what is broken if you got a puncture in all 4 of your car tyres, would you buy one every 6 months?
