  1. He makes the wrong decision nearly all of the time.
  2. I know the pain. Quick one, has anyone ever seen Delphinho and Percy in the same room together?
  3. 25m Villa? Seriously, just give them 40 and get it done. Provided he doesn’t go to prison, he’s one of the best in the Prem at his position.
  4. If Bissouma is available for £40m, we should be all over it.
  5. If we’ve bid for Bissouma it means we’ve probably had a discussion with his agent and he’s happy enough to join. That’s a positive. He’s my number 1 target for that position. Unfortunately, it looks like Bentancur will happen.
  6. I hope he continues to flop because that £100m is all the more sweeter if he does. I do genuinely wonder if he regrets it or not. Obviously, there is the money, but he’d be filthy rich either way.
  7. Of course there are examples where it goes well, albeit I wouldn’t say Westwood has gone on to be a roaring success, just a decent lower half PL player.
  8. FWIW, I don’t really buy into the idea that just because Lange and co. want a player, that it’s the right player and the right signing. History is littered with mistakes in the transfer window for every club and just because somebody is deemed an expert in their field, doesn’t mean they always get it right. Take SAGE for example If we sign Bentancur, fair enough, I’m sure they’ve done their research, but it could be a mistake, we just don’t know yet. Personally, I’m a little worried by the comments from Juve fans about his ability. I hate it when you sign a player from a club whose fans are really happy about the deal. I’d hazard a guess that more often than not, said player doesn’t do well at the new club. Digne is an example of the reverse. Everton fans were gutted to lose him and he’s been very good for us so far - as expected. I dunno man, I just feel like Kamara/Bissouma are better options?
  9. I think this could be the case. Luiz is decent and losing him now is annoying as he’ll be coming into his prime but we have to sell him in the Summer if he’s not going to sign a new deal.
  10. Fair enough. My view was probably a bit ignorant. I do think it’s a massive step up still.
  11. I disagree. Buendia was brought in to play alongside Grealish. It would have been those two behind Watkins had Grealish not have left. The club knew we weren’t good enough in the final third even with Grealish here.
  12. No it didn’t, we spent 70m on two right sided forwards 12 months after he was signed.
  13. He’s sometimes sloppy and careless on the ball but he was a rock yesterday. When your midfield loses the ability to pass or keep the ball and you’re being bombarded, Mings is your man. He played very well.
  14. Comparing stats of players who play in different leagues just seems a bit pointless to me. I’d hazard a guess that there won’t be a single game played in Serie A this season at the same pace as the game at Goodison yesterday. I must admit, the comments from Juve fans are a bit of a concern.
  15. I’m too cosmopolitan to translate. It’s part of the delphinho transfer package.
  16. True, but not sure many of those are willing to pay a fee. If it takes £15m this window, maybe we can steal a march? One things for sure (he says), we’ll sign a DM this window and I think it might go down to the wire. Expecting it to be one of Bissouma, Kamara or Bentancur. Or, and here’s a crazy idea, we’ll sign 2!
  17. If he keeps this up, he’ll be our POTS. He’s getting fitter, sharper and his all round attitude is infectious. It’s one thing having skill, it’s another having that desire and drive to put your body on the line and run around non stop! What a player.
  18. He has the ability to run with the ball to get himself out of trouble and open up the game for us. He makes it look so easy yet it’s a very tough skill. You have to have confidence in your own ability to move with the ball in your own half under pressure. Im sure the coaching team at Villa have told him to drive with the ball as much as possible when he gets chance. Defenders hate players running at them at pace (obviously). I keep saying it, but he’s got all the tools to be an amazing player. If he keeps improving at the rate he does… how good is he going to be at 24? Fast becoming one of the first names on the teamsheet and say it quietly, but, he’s not even the ‘good’ Ramsey.. Exciting.
  19. He’s a bit of a tap-in merchant when it comes to transfers, however he’s usually all over it and only adds flames to the fire. I’m not sure on this Bentancur chap. Seems VT is divided on him.
  20. It’s amazing people forget we literally went and spent £70m on two right sided forwards because the club knew Traore wasn’t good enough. And that was before they knew Grealish was leaving.
  21. It does slightly worry me that their fans aren’t exactly worried about losing him. The last player we signed that the fans hated (Traore) turned out not good enough so hope this doesn’t happen again.
