  1. Did we spend enough to do it? It took man city a hell of a lot to do it and stay there. Look at spurs and Liverpool and the money they've spent and their not consistently in the top 4. We gave it a good go but I can't agree we spent enough to say we should have done it
  2. Because if you're out of action for too long, you're not going to get that premier league job. His best bet is trying to get back in as soon as possible. Every game that goes by is damaging his reputation (which is why I guess his agent has him speaking to the media to get his excuses out there) I could see him being easily forgotten by the premier league if he's out the game for a while.
  3. Coming to the end of season, I'd imagine there will be a couple of jobs available in the summer. I doubt he fancies chatting to the media because he's bored.
  4. yeah, a multi millionaire being without a job for a few months. Must be really desperate. Doesn't matter how much money he has, he will want to be a premier league manager and there's lots of competition to get not many jobs. The fact he's on skysports and on talksport show he wants to get his name back out there and talked about again. He could well fall down a level very easily.
  5. On talksport now. He just used the phrase 'I go again' Obviously getting a bit desperate and trying to get his name back out there.
  6. He needs some pr to try and make excuses because every game that goes by Tim Sherwood is making him look like an abysmal manager.
  7. Oh please tell me he didn't talk his usual shit.
  8. He should stick to after dinner speaking. He was absolutely hilarious when I saw him, didn't expect it at all.
  9. apart from his transfer dealings. Yeah to be fair that's an area he looks to have done well in. Be interested to know how much input he had but deserves credit for bringing them in.
  10. I've always rated the lad, as have others. Nothing to do with your Lambert hatred here - you were just wrong pal Yes no problem with that. Yeah strange a couple so proud absolutely destroyed cleverly earlier in the year
  11. I used to think he was part of the problem but yet another example than anything seen under the useless Lambert shouldn't be trusted
  12. I hope its true and I hope there's serious interest from a few. But we had the same stories last year and ended up being left with Lerner.
  13. I dont. He should have sacked him at the end of the previous year and he didn't. I think fox is a big reason Lambert is no longer here
  14. If he's been called up with no contact before then MON and the Irish fa are words removed
  15. If I were jack I'd reject which ever side called him up for the friendly game. It puts him in a difficult position in the public eye and if either side was prepared to do that then I'd worry about my future under them.
  16. I think any new owner this summer would keep Sherwood. It would be a real backlash on the potential takeover if they got rid of him.
  17. Is it? Or was it appointing Sherwood? I'm inclined to think it was the latter. Lambert had to go, but Lerner could've easily got the appointment wrong. I still can't quite work out what's happened. There's no doubt we were under-performing under Lambert, but we're arguably playing some of the best football in years with Sherwood. Has it simply been a case of Sherwood bringing us up to the level we should've been at anyway or is he doing a particularly good job that few others could've done? I think the appointment of sherwood and sacking lambert was more down to fox.
  18. Kevin kilbane on five live Saturday, said that grealish was name he'd been hearing about for the past 5 years. This isn't another albrighton. This is one of the biggest potentials in the league right now.
  19. I find it pretty daft that the idea of spending more than the small amounts we have been, mean you want to spunk millions away and bankrupt the club. Is there no middle ground? Hull city did show ambition by investing in the playing squad but for a number of reasons it hasn't worked out. They might not have spent the money wisely or they have a manager who can't get the best out of them. No one wants us to give the Habib Beyes of the world £60,000 a week again but we should be showing more ambition in terms of trying to bring quality players into the club. We've got the opportunity to do that this summer with cleverly and sinclair and hopefully a few others. with finances sorted and TV money still increasing I dont see why we can't invest more than we have recently.
  20. I'd love to know what he worked on for 2 and half years. How can a team look so different? Thank God we decided to get rid. We'd be relegated by now if we'd given him more time.
  21. Given started 2 games. In one we kept a clean sheet and the other the goals came from a pen and him being fouled. I dont think Guzan has any complaint to still be on the bench next game.
  22. He's got something about him and it's not just being a good motivator. He's an impressive manager at the moment.
