I'm pretty confident he will stay. He's done two recent interviews where he stated it would be very difficult to leave.

They've still had to manage and improve in the premier league and they've done it. Are we really going to argue we weren't lucky enough to get relegated and play lower league football like Swansea and Southampton. Our problem is we only seem to be doing things right now, once we've hit rock bottom and while the owner wants nothing to do with us. Brilliant timing from the excellent Randy Lerner.

Why do people keep saying the owner doesn't matter now? I'd say they're even more important with FFP. Before they were just a cheque book, now they actually have to make right decisions, have the right plan and the skills to implement and follow it through. As Fox has said, our income has not increased enough while others have, the right owner would have done something about that before we got to this point. Hiring the right manager and people behind the scenes can make a big difference. To suggest they don't matter because of FFP seems daft to me.

Before FFP we were unlikely to win the league or finish top 4. And there's different ways to make up the numbers. We can play awful football barely surviving or we can win a few games, finish top half and challenge for cups. With the right owner we could still be an enjoyable top 8 team following FFP rules.

He openly admits he should have sold up years ago. That doesn't sound like an ambitious man.

Can't blame him. Let's see how much Lerner still cares after he's sold.

If I had to choose one it would be stick with what we have as I want to see how good Sherwood could be. But I think its realistic to think new owners would keep him on so ideally that's what I want

Went to secrets maroma beach last summer for my honeymoon and still cry nearly every day that i'm not back there. You will have an awesome time and all inclusive just adds to it. Very jealous. A group of my friends went to coco bongos, they spoke highly of it but it sounded more the sort of place for a lads night out. You will get hassled in the airport, I stupidly was the nice british guy who didn't ignore him when he made eye contact and the bloke was the friendliest man i'd ever met, then 10 minutes later when he finally got to his real point and i said i wasn't interested he turned into a right miserable word removed. I would just blast straight through and get outside as quickly as you can.

In the interests of balance , the last few years under Lambert when in actual fact he did keep us up suggests that the phrase "would never have done" is not entirely accurate. By the way this is not me advocating for Paul to be rehired, I think the timing of his departure was about right in fairness and disappointingly Lambert would never have kept us up this season so the original statement is true for me.

Marginally better? So far he's miles better. Compared to Lambert he is like Mourinho. Cissokho and Given shouldn't be anywhere near our team next season. They are not good players at all. Given was a typo for Guzan afaik and Cissohko, however lowly you rate him, is probably our best LB. I think Richardson has been decent since the QPR game and was probably the only player on Saturday who shouldn't be ashamed of himself.

I wonder if there would be so much negativity if we'd lost to Leicester before Sherwood officially started? We've got doom and gloom about the future under Sherwood based on a few games, why are they the ones that are going to show our future and not the ones where we played our best football in years and absolutely dominated some good teams?

Don't you think Sherwood deserves some credit for Benteke finding his scoring boots. Sherwood has done a fantastic job from where we were. i can't understand the negatitvity Yes the gets some credit for Benteke. But if Sherwood has done a fantastic job - how would you describe the work of Pardew, Pullis,even Advocat ? Fantastic?

No he clearly can't, let's get rid.

Can't both be right? I would be disappointed and I still think Sherwood would want him here. But if he goes I don't think it will make any real difference to us.

What reasoning? I doubt its something they've contemplated once so any reasoning is made up by yourself.

Keep him in the squad but should be no where near the first team.
